swiz123:There's a reason topics like "Will you rather earn X in Lagos than earn Y in PH/Kaduna" comes up every eke market day...nobody really wants to be in Lagos, but the opportunities are here hence we remain. |

Theflint1: Then maybe the other states Governors should bring investment and opportunities to their state so that the population of Lagos can reduce. 1 Like |

Theflint1: there is a reason they are paying that amount or earn that amount in Lagos in the first place. Its like saying if I can earn what I earn in Silicon valley inside Alabama, or Ogbomoso" Why are the opportunities in Lagos and not elsewhere? Why do the opportunities refuse to leave this unlivable Tinubu Lagos and the opportunities keep increasing in Lagos and reducing in Kaduna/PH in the same time frame? 2 Likes |

.....Theflint1, pls watch Dangote's recent interview on his Refinery. He wanted to build it in Rivers State but Ọmọ Onilẹ and State Government wahala made him to lose interest n the State. He thought of Ondo and Ogun, their Governors' greediness push him to Lagos. Opportunities do come to other States too, but because none of their ex-governors is Tinubu, hence are failing to maximizing the opportunities, rather losing it. 3 Likes |

OasisX: Don't believe what he says. Remember what Yahya Bello did to him in Kogi state. Right before you start erecting structures or clearing land sef, there would be a quota of indigenous employees you will take and in certain positions. There is a particular reason why he decided to settle for Lagos and it has nothing to do with states demands 1 Like |

swiz123: Prices of houses and rent are equally expensive in other major cities. You cant compare rent in London to rent in Nottingham, they are both in the UK but the rent differs greatly. Same way you cant compare rent in New York or San Francisco to rent in New Jersey. It's a simple economics principle, if demand is higher than supply, price will increase. In 18, 19, houses were cheaper in Ikorodu but the moment people started moving to Ikorodu in large numbers mostly due to the low house rent, the house rent is now increasing at an alarming rate. As long as Lagos continue to have high influx of people into the state with its tiny land mass, no infrastructure will keep up with it. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 4:28pm On Jun 26 |
RealityKings: After wetin Dangote see for Yahaya Bello hand, he to think twice before investing in the state going forward, other investor sef will use Dangote as example. If this can happen to Dangote, who then can it not happen to. Most of these Governors dont know they are using their own short sightedness to rob the State of investment opportunities, future potential jobs and revenue by the actions they take. They will then be wondering why all the investment is going to Lagos. 2 Likes |

larride: Why will they care? The said governor sef has his main house and major investment in Lagos, While in power he sends half his time in lagos His state citizens who should be holding him responsible have all headed to Lagos Those who have not left are depending on the ones in Lagos to send money monthly for upkeep When he is campaigning his own reference point will also be Lagos The state indigenes instead of focusing on him and his failures will still blame Lagos Almost all the Senators and HoR from all over Nigeria especially Southern Nigeria after thy collect their loot, they take that money to buy real estate in Lagos 2 Likes |
