As part of its campaign strategy in 2015, APC asked Nigerians a simple question.

Is N216 To $1 Okay?

APC was outraged that Naira had fallen to N216 to a Dollar. Many APC supporters said this alone was enough to kick out Jonathan since Naira had never been this low

Today, after almost 10 years of APC, a Dollar is now N1,500

I feel that a particular region have not stopped making reference to Jonathan's government because it favoured them.

Since afterwards, they have been crying of hunger because their sustainance was tied around the man who left power in 2015.

I hope I won't be labeled as being bitter or an enemy of progress because my candidate lost if I wish that Tinubu fulfilled the promise he made in April 2023, about a month before he was sworn in as president.

A bit tricky question. If one earns in dollars, a lower USD means the value of their portfolio and assets (in USD) will drop significantly. A higher USD value regardless of inflation or high cost, keeps it in range.

The thing is the percentage rise isn't balanced with current economic impact. Earning $1000 around ₦200 per USD would buy you one laptop in 2015, whilst earning $1000 now at over 1500 would buy you more laptops.

APC is the worst plague to befall Nigeria. We would have been managing PDP jejely but Nigeria were inpatient and they rushed to change mantra. Now things fall apart.
Multi nationals are exiting Nigeria. Economy is in comatose. Tinubu is blaming Buhari. Fuel is 700,diesel a thousand plus. Dollar is dancing awilo with the naira. Fulani herders are chasing farmers from farm. Food scarcity etc. These are all feature of failed state

You people didn't really understand APC then.

How can a whole giant of Africa allow its currency to be exchanged at 216 naira per USA Dollar naaa? Haba mana! It is too poor naa. A small West African country like Sierra Leone exchanging 22,550 SLL of their local currency to 1 USA Dollar.

You will agree with me that it is shameful that Sierra Leone is miles ahead of Nigeria in that regard. I know it won't be easy to catch up with them, what our beloved daddy president is trying to do now is to at least take it up 2500 naira per 1 USA Dollar before the end of his first tenure.

Was it only the APC that spoilt our currency?

The PDP also did its own damage to the national currency and the economy for 16 years before handing over to the APC

You people do not have any tangible exports yet you expect your currency to be strong undecided

Another beautiful thread that will be reduced to fighting as usual by cretins, either paid to do so or simply for being obdurate and stupid.

APC has failed to improve the lives of Nigerians using any metric since coming on board. The party has not done the easy task of remaining at where they met the country or at least moving a step forward. But has taken the country several steps backward.

The level of frustration, strife, hopelessness etc that hang around common people on the streets is unimaginable.
"na wa oo" is now the common anthem we sing when we hear prices whenever we buy things from the market because that's what ordinary people has been reduce to.
