As far as bigotry, do not deceive yourself that Kenyans are no longer as divided as they were prior to the start of this protest. They still are but people found a way to pocket all of that in order to unite against the bill. That is what happened here. undecided

He has no choice than to bow to pressure. The level of the western Media coverage is unprecedented. That's a working society where the youths hold sway. Just tax increase,Kenyan youths went on rampage.

Tinubu removed fuel subsidy, increased electricity tarrif, removed electricity subsidy, floa upted the naira, increased Value added tax Al in spate of six months, Nigerian youths remain silent not a single protest, those who can't bear it japa, those on ground remain docile praying to God. But the reason is not far far fetched, ethnic and religious sentiments. Awalokan sentiments.

That's why I will forever respect Europeans. Very smart people. They made sure every country in Europe is mono ethnic and mono religion, so as to enhance nation building and patriotism. They broke up diverse Soviet Union and the Baltic, broke up Yugoslavia, those countries are doing very well today.
Until Nigeria break into different countries like Sudan and Yugoslavia, there will be meaningful progress, except to japa from the rot.
From biggest economy to Fourth. Very Pitiable. sad
Well said brother.

You have encapsulated the tragicomedy plaguing Nigeria.

As you rightly said, until Nigeria is unbundled into smaller nations, the country can't make meaningful progress.

Supported!

Nigeria is not 1 country that's why this kind change protest will not happen in the zoo. divide the country in it original state before the coming of the wicked British that put us in this hell hole called Nigga-Area.

Nigerians do have power even at the local level. They just never exercised it before now largely because they are ignorant of their Civic rights and duties. The Kenyans who protested were obviously not ignorant in this. undecided

The average Nigerian, unlike the average Kenyan youth, does not know or clearly understand his rights. He knows how to talk and complain about politics but when asked of who the true powers in a democracy, even the Nigerian democracy is, the average Nigerian will tell you those who received a mandate or even swindled it from him hold the power. For instance, he does not know nor understand that his mandate can be given and he can take it away with a vote of no confidence.b undecided

Take a look at the list of IMF debtors. https://www.imf.org/external/np/fin/tad/balmov2.aspx?type=TOTAL

Na only Kenya and Nigeria dey that list? Na only African countries dey that list? Why is it that African countries are the only ones whining about IMF this and IMF that? undecided

Did the SNG protests led by Pastor Tunde Bakare not work to make Jonathan Acting President through the Doctrine of Necessity by the David Mark led senators?

Protests worked in 2012 against fuel deregulation, even though Fayemi said that they used the same Pastor Tunde Bakare to play politics and deny us of the benefits of deregulating the telecom sector over two decades ago?
It was not led by him. Nigerians were already out there protesting led by the nlc chairman. So many groups were out there protesting in different part of the Country.

And how do you measure success? Cos fuel price wasn't reverted to N65 but ADJUSTED to N97 per litre
