The recently built Dangote Refinery reportedly caught fire today, Wednesday. The source and cause of the fire have yet to be disclosed, but firefighters were filmed trying to bring the blaze under control. However, the Dangote Group and its management issued a statement explaining, there was a minor fire incident at their effluent treatment plant (ETP) today, Wednesday, 26th June but was swiftly contained. Assuring the public there is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating, and there are no recorded injuries or harm to any of their staff on duty.
