Moving From Nigeria To Ghana. by winner37(m): 12:52pm On Jun 27
Please am really confused but this is what I want and I need some advise possibly From anyone who had been to Ghana before..
Am a forklift operator presently working with one company am earning above 90k as salary but as Nigeria keep worsening day buy day so I contacted a friend who based in Ghana in which he was very transparent but am not still satisfied, I still need to know more . Part of his advise was if am coming over to do business or to work so I answered him that I want to come and work probably when am used to the way of life over there I will set up a business...
My main concern , is there better life in Ghana compared to Nigeria and is there any possibility getting there I will see a work without staying at home for a month?
What is life like in Ghana?
Is handwork vailed over there ?
Cost of living?
Will I used my o level result at least to get a company work that I might earn like 50k in Nigeria currency? ..
Please I need some genuine advise..

You already said your friend gave you all the info you needed to know and that he was transparent with you so I don’t know what to tell you again.
But my 2cent is that “living in Ghana is more expensive than Nigeria” and there isn’t jobs cos Ghana is also going through a lot at the moment except you want to be at the mercy of naija churches in Accra.

Thanks, but my friend telling me isn't enough so have to seek advice from people too .. Have propound a word that says " if you want to know more keep asking questions and seek for answers" .If Ghana is going through a lots why is their currency higher than naira and there's no company work over there..?
still need some guidelines.

1. The currency is not higher, the same Ghc1000 few months back was changed for over 120000k.
2. I am not here to discourage you but to advise you. You can check my post over the years on this forum, I have advised folks about movement around ECOWAS states and the feedbacks are always positive. CHEERS

It’s going through an economic crisis right now and I won’t advise you to move there
Things are also more expensive
A higher salary with higher expenses willl leave you with little left
If you can get to Canada or the US with your skills you’ll make more money

Let me give you a little advice. A very honest one. Do not let anybody stop you from leaving Nigeria To Ghana. Provided You Want This Few Things Below And You Are a Patient Person.

1. Ghana Is Relatively Peaceful, If You Want Peace Of Mind, Freedom Of Movement (24 hours round the clock), then Ghana is for you.

2. Patient.. You have to be very patient, if you must live in Ghana. If you show your gragra, eye go dey your body.

3. There are no jobs in Ghana like Nigeria, Your chances of getting job as a Nigerian is 40% and this is based on your ruggedity.

I live in an environment in Accra where there are alot of Nigerians. We're about 20 that I know, majority work in factories. I know factory that pays 1000¢ monthly (7-7 work) Monday to Saturday. Sunday is overtime (60¢).

4. Ghana Is Expensive...

If you feel you can survive in Ghana, give it à try, who knows, your breakthrough might be there provided you're legit. And if you get there and it doesn't favour you, find your way back home. Alot Of Nigerians in Ghana are suffering and cannot come back home cause they have nothing to show for it or cause they've spoilt alot of things before leaving home.
