Ben is back for pre season.
Ben, Ogbu, Osho should be our main focus henceforth. Ekong and Omeruo should be in the pool too.

I found this video of Hervé Renard motivating the Saudi team while they were losing 1 nil to Argentina at the 2022 World Cup. Na coach with this kind mentality Super Eagles need, even if no be the Renard himself - me I want am tho.

Far better but his and Lampard's international stats are almost the same I hear you.

kendrick9:
Still far better than anything Lampard did in an England shirt.

African Athletics Update:

Although Nigeria women’s 4x400m relay team won the gold in Douala, Cameroon, their winning time was not enough to secure an Olympics spot🥹

Nonetheless, Nigeria will feature four relay teams at the Paris Olympics: men and women’s 4x100m, men’s 4x400m, and the mixed 4x400m relays..

How did Ghana beat us in the men 4×100M again?

That's 2ce in a roll since the AAG.

Stat sheet don't tell the whole story but they give a good indication of how effective a player was and Lampard's record speaks for itself which is impressive considering he played in an era facing exceptional midfielders who most coaches would play ahead of KDB in a heartbeat..

Great managers like Mourinho, Ancelotti, Hiddick saw Frank first hand and he was always one of the first names on the team sheet so I will definitely take their observation over someone with an agenda to cook.

Plus you've still failed to state in what area KDB surpasses Lamps. Bring facts non of these emotional ad hominem you have been dishing out since morning.

He came to Nigeria for the 1999 U - 20. His name was Ronaldo then.

First round, was in my City and Brazil stayed at Presidential Hotel and Ronaldinho was there life.

In the match against Honduras, Ronaldinho was on fire with breathtaking skills. Remarkable talent.

What is it KDB can do that Lampard can't do if not better? Sey na assists? Goal scoring?, Pressing? which one is it? Frank used to this and more consistently. Plus he didn't pretend to be John Cena in tough matches.

KDB is a good player in a very poor generation. Lamps fought battles against great players like Xavi, Ronaldinho, Scholes, Alonso to mention a few. Ordinary Mason Mount overshadowed Kevin in UCL final abeg abeg.

It is actually the other way around. We had loads of very poor players with good players shining over them. De Bruyne is actually playing in an era where tactics are insane, physical fitness is crazy. Diet is crazily researched and defending is far better.

Football has changed and it is time people switch their watching perspective. Football use to be a technical battle. Most teams set up the same way, the 4-4-2 and let the best players with techniques win.

Today, football is a tactical game
. Defending is better and we are not going to see football played as it before.
Let's say in 20 years from now,
and someone who is obsessed by the kind of game being played in that era says exactly the same thing u just said or u kept saying,
insisting that football played 20 years ago by KDB and co is so inferior to that of their generation.
What would be ur reaction to that person?

Manchester United parked bus in FA Cup finals. That is enough to tell that you are just arguing.

When Manchester City meets top quality sides, we face them head on. Lampard in Chelsea most times were sitting deep because of lack of competition.

Watch this clip.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pz8ZEZkE4pM

Watch how De Bruyne works his socks off for the team. Watch his intensity. The distance he runs to create space. The passes. Look at his work rate in the plays.

It will take tactics going to nil for technical play to dominate. I just don't see it happening. What we will rather see is tactical advancement that will make technical play look horrifying.

Lampard is a way more effective player than KDB no CAPS. His consistency, work rate and knack for getting into scoring positions stand him apart.

KDB does that better and more. Covers more distance and even puts in mad defensive contributions.

Still can't remember it. But I can still remember he took this penalty that attracted praises. Sad I can't remember it.

Still sad how Uruguay took them out. That was where I took note of Forlan. Two brilliant goals from Forlan and Anchen was enough to sink the mighty Brazilians.

I hope my memory serves me right here. It is a long time.

I scouted him first on this space! What a player!
A left-back like Pirlo! @charlesemeka you sabi ball!

You see his move and pass for that goal against Czech.
He plays like a midfielder!

Brilliant Ball playing defenders are built that way. They move or carry the swagger of midfielders but they are not midfielders. They are defenders. Some of such are called Liberos.

And you ask who wouldn't? Well, maybe just you. Anyone who watched Bologna would easily tell he was either LCB or LB. It was not hard to figure out.

Super eagles midfielders with the most long balls

Kelechi Nwakali
Raphael Onyedika
Ifeanyi Mathew

Finidi targeted a long ball strategy against the South Africans, he did not invite Kelechi Nwakali and Ifeanyi Mathew. Raphael Onyedika that he did invite even started from the bench.

Anybody watch the NBA draft?

France's youth sporting infrastructures are 2nd to none. I expect them to start dominating Track some time soon. This Summer Olympics will be a watershed moment for them.
