I think the fault is from the phone. Genetically speaken, the daughter is surely his so like they can carry close finger print patterns but not 100% same so may e close to 60% via the phones can open it.... That's my say guys |
Re: My Daughter's Fingerprint Opens My Phone by flokii: 10:57pm On Jun 27 |
It's possible that the girl was playing around on your phone and registered her finger prints on it.. It's also possible that you guys have identical finger prints. This generation of kids are drawn towards tech, so don't underestimate what a 5 yr old can do with gadgets. |

richiemcgold: No, it is not possible for a child to inherit their parents' fingerprints. Fingerprints are formed by the unique patterns of ridges and valleys on an individual's fingertips, which are shaped by the interaction of genetic and environmental factors during fetal development. While genetics play a role in the formation of fingerprints, the specific patterns are not inherited in the same way that other traits like eye color or hair color are. Instead, the unique fingerprint pattern is formed by the randomization of ridges and valleys during fetal development, making each person's fingerprints unique, even among identical twins. However, research has shown that there may be a genetic component to the general characteristics of fingerprints, such as the density and orientation of ridges, which can be influenced by genetic factors. But the specific pattern of fingerprints is not inheritable. It's worth noting that law enforcement and forensic science rely on the uniqueness of fingerprints for identification purposes, and the likelihood of two individuals having identical fingerprints is extremely low. 1 Like |

oliverwrites: 5 years is even too old. This generation of children are born-tech-swerve. If you see where a year old baby is handling phone, ehen, you'll be amazed. The functions you don't even know exist in your phone, they'll pull it out and be operating it. They know where everything they need is on that phone. They're naturally smarter than their age. I was watching one operating her mother's phone the day I visited the hospital, I didn't even know my mouth was opened in awe, until I recovered from the shock . A baby of not more than two years! |

I've seen it happen, my nephew's fingerprint opens my phone and I've confirmed from my settings that my fingerprint is the only enrolled fingerprint on the phone. 1 Like |

henrimoto: Guy, forget that thing! I know a girl of six who does everything you can think of on an iPhone and she's been at it for more than two years now! What are we even arguing about here? A smart girl of 5 years is capable of doing anything on phone or laptop. Mind you, the possibility of sharing same fingerprint is always 1 in every 1 billion. Therefore, it's either the mum did it with her or she knows the password and did it by himself. Period! |

Guz: We HV seen security & safety measures fail from time to time... Nobody depends on Technology 100 percent; do HV option B incase of fail-safe disappoints! As it's in the physical, so it's in technology or cloud; they can be breached. How else do hackers do their thing? What about this scenario: Remember those days one would write their passwords somewhere in case you forgot.... This pwd Neva expire-o. Ok, used this password Monday-Wednesday, come Thursday, the OC no accept am. Called IT, narrated that this pwd was written down somewhere-o (not forgotten & not expired). The IT Mgr checked, then said, "these things happen although rarely". Well, he ran the system all over again b4 I cld access it again! 1 Like |

Oga is not possible my children use their finger print to open my phone too.But I discovered it after one month. Secret is they add their finger print making it 2 so the best thing is delete the finger print and add a fresh one then give to your child if it will match again. |

Why not ask someone to check for you how many fingerprints are enrolled in the phone. At least you can start your forensic from there. |

Fingerprint technology for some phones are faulty... Or inadequate. We have common DNA strains with our blood relation. But none is 100% same.. The problem is when phone Biometrics use less than 50 identical markers, when you have say say 600 DNA markers which also reflect in your fingerprint. So any close relative like a child who has enough similar DNA markers with you, can open your phone. It has been long proven.. Phones like Samsung updated their biometric software.. some time ago, to accommodate such similarities. 1 Like |

oliverwrites:Your wife added the daughter's fingerprints so that DNA test will not cross your mind. Probably the daughter is the only one among your children that may not be yours. By so doing you will rule out all possiblity of carrying out DNA test on her |
