My personal opinion and observation....

Long ago I used this Samsung Galaxy phone...was a gift....This phone never hang for one day, even though I was running 10k plus WhatsApp messages.... FIFA ea game many app...up to 90 apps...it dosent lag without memory card...
And it was 1.5gb RAM...then one thing led to another I switched to TECNO....wx3 that's the worst phone I ever used.... slow indecisive...lol.... can't even open telegram without waiting for as long as 1 minutes...

I currently got an infinix for a dash price... based on the person was broke......S4 to be precise.... omor this phone dey hang....

With 90 apps running....it's terrible and can freeze for 2 minutes....

RAM don't matter, what matters is the processor.... iPhone 5 very fast than most infinix 4gb ram phones based on its bionics chip....transsion should Ievel up. To snapdragon or Qualcomm and stop producing big screens......

Old flagship are more stable than modern 3gb ram infinix phones

When I tell people this they doubt it. Processor is the turbo, not ram

You just mentioned Infinix s4. Do you know when that phone was produced and the weak processor that powered it? Samsung A series have also brought forth phones that hanged like there's no tomorrow. I have handled A10s and I almost cried. Transsion have evolved over the years and now they have become a major force in the industry. When I saw their devices going through reviews on GSMArena, I knew they have gone all out to make their devices superb. The reviewers at GSMArena always applaud Tecno whenever they review the devices. Especially the phantom and Camon series. If you think I'm lying, handle any of Tecno Camon 18 premier, 18p, 19pro, 20 pro, 20 premier, Camon 30, 30pro, 30premier and give me feedback about the fluidity. They all use Mediatek Helio G96, G96, G96, G99, Dimensity 8050, G99, Dimensity 8200 and Dimensity 8200U respectively. I was a critic of transsion devices but they have learned and I give them kudos. Are you also aware that there are some transsion devices that use snapdragon SOCs? Have you heard of the Infinix Zero series? You think it's by adding snapdragon SOCs to a phone that makes it better than one using Mediatek? All those mediatek CPUs I mentioned above are much superior than several snapdragon CPUs. Try doing comparisons of phones especially about the SOCs they use. Now I want to give you a test. Between Redmi note 13 4g and Tecno Camon 30, which do you think has the better overall performance?

In conclusion, So should we choose processor over ram? Or not in all cases?

Processor and adequate ram must go hand in hand. Nowadays, the minimum RAM you should have on your phone for multitasking is 4gb. Anything less would make apps keep reloading in the background. Personally I can't use anything less than 6gb ram. My current phone has 8gb ram. However, a phone with Mediatek Dimensity 8200 CPU and 6gb ram is far better than a phone using snapdragon 685 with 12gb ram

My iPhone 6 is faster than many transsion 4gb ram phones

It's not only about CPU or RAM.
The OS also greatly influences how your device perform, among other hardware and other overhead apps. Read up technical reviews and comparisons before making a decision.

This is why a phone with slightly lower CPU/RAM can possibly have better performance than the other. The keyword here is EFFICIENCY.

Both should go hand in hand. 128gb RAM should have Al least 4gb processor which may still start to hang with heavy apps downloaded. But 6gb Processor-128gbRAM is sweet

processor over everyday and twice on weekends.

While chipsets are getting advanced techs, RAM have practically been very much slower in catching up.

Currently chipset tech is at 3mm with 8gb RAM and it will be smoother and 5mm mm chip with 12GB of RAM

How do I know the processor of a phone that I've already purchased, like where do I check?

All what I know is that over the years the phone will definitely hang, stock with 4 years OnePlus right now, very fast and smooth some years back...but now can't play pubg and calls come in..I'll use Jesus to beg Anobi for my phone to respond despite of its 4gb ram...

Got an infinix hot 40i for my wife 8gb ram upgradable to 16gb of ram which I don't even like upgrading ram, why ram can't even comes in 16gb directly..the phone is very fast even though you open all the apps it will still run smoothly and all apps intact.

The down side is that infinix hot 40i is not grate at interface and the camera is no way to compare to my OnePlus..my OnePlus still intact like last year phone,so clean without cracks just the hanging issue which I can't blame the phone cos back then Facebook was like 500mb while now I do have like 3 to 4gb for Facebook only

To me Processor over RAM, as long as the ram is atleast 4gb , and the Android skin also matters too, have once used a Xiaomi phone with Snapdragon 662 the phone is not as fast as my present phone{ tecno pop8} even with less processor (unisoc t606). In summary I prefer bigger processor with medium RAM over bigger RAM with medium processor
