Nigeria just like making laws they can't enforce

How do you define a skit maker? Or a random person posting a video of themselves acting?

This law makes no sense

Instead of you to focus on taxing their streaming earnings by 40% minimum .. This is easier to do, easy to trace and instant revenue generation

But no u want try to control them nig to abuse the president and u would fail making u appear weak

People like you need to be tied to a stake in the middle of Sahara desert for 40 days.... The sun will cure the stupidity in your brain.

40% tax cos it's the government that bought equipment for them and it's also the government that provided the funding for the content creation

Some of you are beyond morónic in reasoning.

40% is cheap compared to the rest of the world

You should be praying that happens do they raise and talk and inspire the People to go against bad governance

How much do you think musicians are taxes abroad

The government is right this time. Content creation needs to be regulated. Taxation is necessary but cannot substitute the regulation.
How do you define content?

So me and my friends hangout or dance or tell a story I need government approval to post it?

Soon they would tell u what picture to post

You are just looking for a problem where there is none. The policy is specifically about skit makers.

Stop talking like a zombié.

You're quick to refer people about the tax abroad why not also demand for death penalty for corrupt public officials, why not demand for true federalism and a restructured Nigeria where the people's voice truly matter? Why not demand for death to all past and present governors, deputy governors, heads of ministries and agencies, presidents, military generals, ministers and lawmakers who have in any way shape or form been involved in corrupt practice?

But no, eternal fools like you are ever present in Nigeria demanding for the people to keep arming the government against themselves in the name of tax while getting nothing in return.

Have you sat down to ask yourself how countries that don't tax their people survive? Nigeria is richer than Germany in terms of resources but Germany can afford to give all its citizens and foreigners free education to the highest level but in Nigeria we have people like you who will praise and encourage the corrupt Nigerian government to increase school fees, after all, according to one of the crooked politician who is now worshipped by zombiés in Nigeria, education is not for the poor.

Your existence is a curse and a threat to Nigeria's progress.

Reminding creators of the 2014 Same-Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act, the board stated, “It is an offense to directly or indirectly make a public show (Exhibition) of same-sex relationships in Nigeria

A welcome development. There should also be a law to arrest and jail those putting people's life in danger all the name of skit/prank.

You don't like the fact that they are making a good living from content creation. I fear who no fear Nigerians. Bad belle just too much.

It's understandable for you to assert that the law makes no sense. I concur to your line of reasoning here.

What I don't understand is your reason for the tax proposal.

When high taxation policies are created by governments in first world nations, it's because the government believes that they contributed to your success by creating an environment that enabled you to be successful.

We all know the reverse to be the case here in Nigeria. This is not to say the government is not trying her best. This is to say her best is not besting at all.

I don't think it would be a smart move by the government to make skit makers pay tax that high.

I believe that skit makers should be taxed, but not anywhere near 40% of their earnings

Pls tell me why you think this useless government deserves a dime from my earnings as Tax? Just one reason? One useless government would now take a whole 40% of my hard earned money in the name of tax and use the money to equip armed robbers in uniform to harass and threaten me? You must be high on ogogoro

A skit is a visual content staged for entertainment purposes. Staged is the key word.

You can't put a blanket ban on content making
or skit making because they are so wide.Rather government can start with prank video makers, those are not content in my opinion.
