Write it down

Why can they do this and our farmers can't write it down

If you as an individual get money, you mean you can't go to your village and empower those who can do the farming.

Must everything be about government? How about the private sectors?

We like giving unnecessarily excuses on our failure as a nation.

Everything is not government. Before we have modern democracy, we've been existing. No one ever accuse our traditional rulers of starving them. It's understandable in time of famine when yields are bad. This is not the situation, but everyone is singing things are expensive but no one ever imagined who will do the farming if they don't.
Government don't own farms or sell foodstuffs, and I'm damn sure if the government gives everyone funds to farm, majority of those shouting of hunger will divert it for something else.

I used to think you and DeLarue are same person

Anytime I read your comments, how wonder how u think

It must be great listening to both DeOTR and DeLaRue talking offline

According to cbn Niger has 13 million farmers, if 13 million farmers cannot produce enough food, then additional farmers cannot make a difference

It is really not capital per say. It is technology and breeds of crops. They have used the term GMO to spoil the minds of Nigerians.
We should embrace new breeds of crops. be it hybrids or genetically modified breeds.
Lets grow something better.
No one will ask questions about the breed of crops the Chinese or other foreign nationals are cultivating because they consume the chief of these products. So government should know who to contact for new breeds of crops, be it hybrids or GMOs. It should not be business men with interest on the health of the people.
Any one that can fund creation of artificial diseases and it medication should not be entrusted with the production of edibles.

Lol yet banks issue loans when you give loans with religious and tribal sentiments

Obi talked about this his idea was fantastic

Get the farmers to form a cooperative then apply for loans there are certain requirements to be meet

Obidients are useless. Let them be shouting Tinubu up and down when they have refused to be productive. Before you know it the Chinese will dominate our Agriculture after they have dominated technology. They criticize everything Tinubu is doing to change the country. Even the current loan for households to finance themselves.

Your logic is stupid. Nigerians, unlike the Chinese, lack capital and security.

But they are in the same farm you call insecure.

I think so.

First, give us Buhari who calls us lazy fuqs. Then give us Tinubu till we cry αΊΉbi npa wa. And after those 2, and if we haven't learnt, let our laziness and ignorance get to the point where the dead are left rotting on the street.

When we start walking pass our smelly dead relatives and our population halves, those who remain will learn by force.

Let me tell you the truth, no president can develop Nigeria alone and definitely, not with the kind of people in Nigeria with very WRONG mindsets/attitudes.

This is a truth you definitely do not need to tell me. Every Nigerian, or at least a considerable most of us, need to adopt the right mindsets and attitudes that enables us all to develop our Nigeria. That's why I insist we start with educating ourselves to adopt the right mindsets and attitudes.

It's time we realized we need more people that can go into farming than we have now.
We spend and invest our money on somethings that are not so important.
If a Nigerian has some change now, what he or she would think of investing on won't be beyond building hotels, setting up restaurant or bars. Most farmers don't have enough capital necessary for large scale farming. That's why we depend heavily on imported food.
Most people see farming as dirty jobs, but interestingly you don't even have to be in the farm to be a farmer.

Well, I doubt I should expect the person who gives me loans to secure my farm for me. But if they would perhaps they can clear the rubbish too and plant my crops for me and then pay back the loan for me too?

As for your herdsmen. Before herdsmen arrive in my farm, my own tribesperson in my Orolu Kingdom of Ifon Osun has already arrived there and stolen my crop, I found.

The thought of Fulani kidnapping in Enugu or my own Yoruba land is just comical and for the ignorant as far as I'm concerned.

I've always said I would learn some Fulfude before becoming a kidnapper, so when I kidnap you you'd yell cow instead of looking for me amongst yourselves.

Thing is, that's probably too much effort on my part since most would yell cow as soon as they hear kidnap anyway, the bunch of lazy fuqs!

But I'm sure you'd wake up to the fact someday that we've been kidnapping yourselves.

You do know we rural farmers form cooperatives and used to give each other loans, right, usually with added funding from the government?

Unfortunately, since we usually hardly ever paid the loans back, that's pretty much dried up.

Fadama was a good project but the scale was to small

And 5 of u have 10 years experience
