Do you know mount Moriah in Jerusalem in Israel?[)b]

It is also called [b]the temple mount

That is the mountain where God commanded Abraham to offer Isaac, his son, as sacrifice to God, but Isaac was not eventually sacrificed but was replaced with a ram.

That replacement was a symbolism, a foreshadow of how Christ would come to die as the Lamb of God for the sins of mankind on the cross, at Calvary.

Genesis 22:1-2 KJV
[1] And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

[2] And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Genesis 22:6-8 KJV
And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.

[7] And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?

[8] And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering so they went both of them together.

Abraham's response, "God will provide Himself, a Lamb'', to the question, of his son, Isaac, ''where is the Lamb for a burnt offering'' became a prophetic response because God, all by Himself, indeed, provided a Lamb to replace Isaac.

This event also became a symbolic and prophetic dramatisation of how God would send His Son, Jesus Christ, as the Lamb of God, to die for the sins of mankind.

And for this provision of ram by God to replace the sacrifice of Isaac, Abraham called God, Jehovah Jireh, meaning Jehovah provides!

Before we continue,

In Genesis 22:2, above, why did you think God refer to Isaac as Abraham's only son, even though Ishmael had been born before Isaac?

Nobody can say for sure because the scripture did not mention the reason, explicitly, but it could be that because Ishmael was not gotten through the promise of God. Perhaps, God did not reckon with Him

It could also be that God could have seen that Satan might plan to steal the covenant that God plan to transfer f on Abraham to His offspring, as we can see now, that the muslims are claiming that it was Ishmael God asked Abraham to sacrifice when in actual fact, it was Isaac.

Interesting concept of your god here. Perhaps you can also show where Abraham was rebuked for this and why the child was allowed to live?

Mount Moriah, The Jewish Temple, and the Al Aksa Mosque Cont'd

The first Jewish Temple, also called the house of the Lord, built by King Solomon, was also built on Mount Moriah, the same place where God commanded Abraham to offer his son, Isaac.

In addition, God gave specifications and instructions of how to build the temple, the house of the Lord, to King Solomon, much like, the way He gave Prophet Noah, instructions on how to build the ark of Noah.

2 Chronicles 3:1-3 KJV
[1] Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

[2] And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.

[3] Now [b]these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God.[b] The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.

Nice guess work!

So why did God promise to make Ishmael a great nation when Abraham prayed to God to make Ishmael live before God?

Do you think the great nation God promise Ishmael is going to be a Pagan nation?

And I will like to know where is the great nation God promise Ishmael?

And why was Jesus telling the Jews the kingdom of God is going to be taken away from them? Is Jesus working with Satan by trying to steal the covenant from the Jews or Jesus did not know they have an everlasting covenant with God? And which new nation is the kingdom of God given to?

May 21 :43
Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
