It's funny how people focus on the price a company is selling at (watching its every squiggle up or down) without ever thinking about the value they are getting or rejecting when they buy or decide against buying the company...

If all the listed companies were actual persons, would we be proud to call some of them our friends or brothers or family?

Anyway, we all are playing different games and running different races...

Lol, either you don't read much, or you're making jokes, which isn't good. He can't write well at all, perhaps only for Nigerian content readers.

If you're interested, I can provide many examples and comparisons with well-written content. This is just my opinion, though.

From UBA corporate release, there was no mention of interim dividend compared to Zenith. Does it mean that they don't intend to declare interim dividend?

So you arrogate to yourself the ownership of OANDO recommendation? You're the recommender of OANDO to even the people here with longer OANDO transaction (jijo) history on their CSCS Accts than you ?

I think you have greater skill in comicry than in stocks recommending.

Maybe I am the recommender of smartphones to young people around the world.
And I am the recommender of stocks to Ewumi and Wanajo.
It looks you just woke from sleep. If you have been following this thread you will see I was never a fan of wale talk of recommending in the past.I was even the one that raised the assumption that the minority shareholders who went to court first are fake that it was still wale in his dirty moves.I branded oando betnaija stock.I started recommending when wale recent actions changed to positive outlook.
So I don't take credit for oando call now or ever Pls do make your calls too on other stocks. I have made my calls in stock sometimes here in the past

Abeg oh.I no send watin anyone says about oando.I did not buy because of any recommendation. I bought based on personal conviction as a bet and added more because of my street sense.I see wale as street man too.And as a street sense .Why make what I would have achieved easily (delisting) more difficult or expensive for me now.The only reason I will do that is I have changed my mind or put it on hold to achieved something else first.
Do you know how easy it would have made delisting easy if oando remained on suspension in jse, bring out bad results like IB.This would have made the company look like a situation heading for the burial ground. The second shareholders who want to be joined in the case and remaining minority shareholders will be the ones begging him to come pay them #7.07.Wale na street like me.He was behind the first shareholders that went to court. He wanted to explore the legal system as I said long ago.
His dance step has changed and my too has changed .I am only trying to follow the money. I used this street sense for transcorp plc when it was 3 plus, chams less than .50kobo and equally saw it in dangota rice. Therefore I don't need anyone approval because it has not failed me.It is my money and not borrowed fund. And over 20yr of my life in this business is not a joke.My target for first buy is #20 and second is #30..This is sure bet for me

It is Saturday and I have all the time today to write long.I am done with oando.Everthing about it now is noise. My attention has moved back to presco .I don't want presco to do me what seplet has done (seplet @350)..

I doubt Tony will do that now.when he is even offering shareholders 15% fixed interest to keep cash from previous dividend if you intend to pick up your right. He knows shareholders need cash for the rights. I believe that is why the RI will be towards the end of third quarter too

TECHNICALLY SPEAKING, NGX ASI IS STILL IN ELLIOT WAVE-3
On the monthly chart, the Nigerian Exchange All-Share Index (NGX ASI) is currently in Elliott Wave 3. We only experiencing a temporary pause in the motive wave number 3 since February this year. However, the market requires a stimulus to sustain this bullish momentum; otherwise, it may transition into wave 4, which is a corrective wave. Presently, we are likely to continue wave 3 if the index can rally above 106,087.8.

Why I Think the Naira Will Not Continue Falling Further

The people at the helm of affairs, even though they have foreign-denominated stashes, know that a falling naira will spell trouble for them. It will affect their clandestine deals and operations. If the naira were to continue losing value, Nigeria would finally go up in flames, and they don't want that—there's still value to be siphoned.

Look at the current drama between the government and labor: a government that doesn't care would have simply printed naira to settle labor disputes, but they didn't. This supports my analysis above.

Don't get me wrong; if we continue as an overly import-dependent nation, the naira will keep falling. However, the people in charge will do everything possible to slow its decline, keeping the population in check while they siphon resources. This will continue until oil goes out of fashion, at which point we may follow the Zimbabwean route. cool

I stated a fact but no wahala, if i see anything misleading i will just keep my mouth shut.

For me, making money in the stock market is closely followed by reading company reports and opinions of other investors. Believe it or not, once I form an opinion on a stock, the views I look forward to are the contrarian ones. It just helps to fine-tune research on a company. There could have been something I overlooked or underestimated its significance which an opposing view might bring to light.

You should never assume your views are not wanted in a forum like this. It's okay to not indulge though if you feel it consumes too much of your time.

That said, lets get back to business. What did you mean by Japaul has no revenue? They reported N2.6B in their FY'23 audited accounts?

A few questions I'd like you to consider on Oando. You don't have to answer if you're not keen:

1. How much did Oando pay ConoccoPhillips for their assets in 2014?
2. What assets were involved in that transaction?
3. Was it money well spent or better still did they pay too much (especially when you consider Oando's size then)? Be Audacious!!! cheesy grin cheesy
4. What was the financial impact?
5. How much is Oando paying to acquire Agip's assets now?
6. What assets are involved in this transaction?
7. If approved, was it money well spent? Compare answer in #2 and #5.
8. Why is Oando still able to raise the humongous amount of funds from banks that have been reported in the news lately?
9. Re #6, who is the operator of the assets? What is Oando's responsibility?
10. What was the forecast for completion of the Agip transaction?
11. When will the acquisition start to reflect in their financial reports?
12. Could #10 & #11 have an effect on current market pricing?

Not a recommendation to buy or sell Oando .

@KayOn1 Was your question about Oando's rigs rhetoric? Was it a consideration in your DD or research?
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Omooloriredade: 10:08am On Jun 30
Gentle warning to anyone who might be considering making an investment decision on Oando due to my post: Please don't!!!

You are more likely to lose than make money in the stock market (particularly in stocks like Oando) so be guided and consult your financial advisor before making any investment decisions.
