Hows that post insensitive?
I bet not even you would regards this as insensitive if Kenyans hadnt reacted to it this way and thats to tell u its all about herself and her people

And who asked you not to hold your state Gov accountable for your suffering? You can go to you secretariat tomorrow to share your grief, bro

We( also Kenyans) arent all that matter in the world, the world is bigger than us all and it wont stop just cause some people are mourning
Kenyans did not hold their state Gov accountable for suffering inflicted upon them by the central govt. They took on the central govt. It is not the states that devalued naira, remove fuel subsidy and refuse to fix national minimum wage

See what ethnicity, religiosity and sectionalism have caused to our nation that fellow Africans now dragging Nigeria on the floor and lambasting the dossier citizens and the government. They have even labeled the government as illiterate and a broken system.
Now, let me requote three of the comments that really hit us below the belt:

Sellasie’s comment read: “Continue to be patient as you suffer in your motherland while a few people enrich themselves and the rest of you languish in poverty. I’m proud to be Kenyan, and we fight for what is just. Our president has conceded in the fight against the Kenyan Finance Bill. Power belongs to the people.”

Furthermore, Luvv Vanneyy emphasised that Kenyans are educated and deserve fair employment with adequate pay rather than resorting to theft and fraud like Nigerians.

“We’re not dwelling on the theft and fraud that your fellow brothers and sisters are committing here in our country. Your whole generation is flocking to our country; take them and be patient with your broken and uneducated government. Your brothers are busy stealing from older women and men. Speak for yourself”, Vanneyy said.

And some people say they would not changed that we shall continue in this mess, even as they pass it over to their unborn children.

Let me quickly point this to our regular government hailers and the enemies of Nigeria that think they are more patriotic than those talking. helinues, seunmsg, madridguy, Legendhero, Paraman, Freestyle,, Swissmass, Trutharena, yarimo, BondRiv, DevilsEqual, WizardOfNG, Segzy19 are you all there,? Kenyans are talking to us.

This is the problem with Africa and the world today. People are now so angry, bitter and frustrated with their own personal situation to the extent they no longer wish to respect boundaries and the rights of others.

Destiny Etiko is speaking about her own people and nation. I.e Nigerians and Nigeria. She did not mention Kenyans, Kenya or anyone else and their nation.

Whatever Kenyans are going through does not mean they turn the whole African social media space into '#Kenyans anger matters' or '# all Africans must share Kenyans frustration'.

They should face their matter and leave destiny alone. They are acting like religious fundamentalist always seeing 'disprespect' of their God and religion everywhere and in everything. Petty people.

You are not intelligent enough to see that her post is actually mocking Nigerians for glorifying "suffering and smiling" as if it is a good thing to suffer and smile...Destiny is so dumb she didn't realize she is actually mocking herself as a Nigerian.

What makes that of Africa and Nigeria particularly worse is that we have corrupt and inefficient leaders and we still have citizens who are against them being called out. You see such citizens everywhere on social media name- calling and tagging anyone who calls out govt incompetence as hateful, bitter and/or dissident. The right to criticize and protest is a citizen right in any democracy. But here in Nigeria, some folks just for the sake of pittance or primordial sentiments prefer to defend insensitive and absurd governance by shutting up opposition voices and concerns. That's why Nigeria's democracy is looking more like monarchy and the people are worse for it

Etiko, Nigerians are the least patient people. All over the world, they demonstrate least patience.
Truth is that Mass Protests against govt policies are impracticable in Nigeria. How Because of religious and ethnic colouration quickly given to any attempt at protests by any group of people in Nigeria.

You're the one who is dull. Too dull to the extent you do not see your own dullness. An insensitive post would need specific and proven insensitivity towards a mentioned victim.

Try to note the big picture before you open mouth ignorantly. Destiny's comment was on her own instagram page and not a Kenyan blog where she could be accused of baiting them

How dare you to then support the harrasment of those posting in their own social space by those not mentioned directly or indirectly?

Did Destiny mention Kenya when she talked about Nigerians power of endurance in her Insta?

If she does not then you should admit you are dull. If destiny praises her lover's sexual prowess and big Cassava that gives her personal joy , how is she insensitive to 'small' Niggas when she did not mention them?

It is a case of insecure, bitter, frustrated and toxic peoole looking for who/what to attack because they are miserable and want to lash out at anything and anyone. It is wrong. It is ruining Nigeria and the world today.

You articulated it so much better than I would've. The confident he had to call someone dull without even seeing the dullness in his post is mind boggling.

Dude aren't you ashamed of what Nigeria and most Nigerians have become today? Who should be hitting the streets more than Nigerians?

I'm not sure your comments here are justified or anything relevant to the plights of both countries.

Black race and poverty frustration is like Ramos and varane.
Rather, black people who are called Nigerians.
How can mass protests be held in Nigeria 🇳🇬 of multiple ethnic and religious groups, even if they are starving as they are now, without ethnic and religious colours invented to dissipate the protests? Kenyans don't allow religion and ethnicity divide them.

Europeans weren't stuppeed for dismantling nearly all the European countries once made up of multi religious and multi ethnic groups. Because Europeans understood that such countries never thrive.
In Nigeria, cheap cash from crude oil in one spot make politicians from all the divides of the country stick together in a most dysfunctional Nigeria.

They are still stupid for their emotional reactions.
They only reacted out of emotions.

The lady's post didn't mention or denigrate kenyans, neither was it aimed at them. She was even indirectly praising them for their no-nonsense attitude while indirectly shading Nigerians as 'VIPs' who are suffering and smiling.

But they couldn't reason well to understand the post and reacted out of emotions...

In her social media handles where there are Kenyans and many other nationals she has to be careful what she posts... undecided

Even her response is brainless..

How will you not know there is a protest in Kenya ...except you live in a hole ...claims she doesn't have time for herself...lol...but you have time to copy some crappy posts from uncle Sam... grin

You do realize that if Nigerians have even an iota of functional brain, what Destiny Etiko posted is a big insult to them. Imagine pointing out that people are good at enduring hardship in the midst of plenty. Is that a compliment? Now you know why Nigerians are like global locusts exporting crime wherever they migrate as correctly pointed by Kenyans who bear the brunt.
