I don't support violence on civilians in any way but to be honest soldiers also face situations with civilians that if not acted upon promptly might lead to the end of their life. During endsars a soldiers I know got killed by civilians because he tried to be civil with them. They snatched his gun and shot him dead. Another soldier had to act promptly during a mild crisis in a community in imo state. Boys were all charged up and the soldiers came to settle them down. In the process one of the boys who thought he was immortal started walking towards one of the soldiers menacingly. Baba offed him right there. He faced disciplinary actions sha but at the end of the day he did what was necessary to preserve his life.

The matters sha dey complicated. May God help us

I told my son, "You will marry the girl I choose."
He said, "NO!"
I told him, "She is Bill Gates' daughter."
He said, "OK."
I called Bill Gates and said, "I want your daughter to marry my son."
Bill Gates said, "NO."
I told Bill Gates, My son is the CEO of World Bank."
Bill Gates said, "OK."
I called the President of World Bank and asked him to make my son the CEO.
He said, "NO?"
I told him, "My son is Bill Gates' son-in-law."
He said, "OK."
This is exactly how politics works...
Succinct.

In other words, an eyes for an eyes will not make the world go blind, instead, people will learn to think things through before dipping their hands into act of atrocities that will render them blind.

Too bad, na die lost but no wahala na.

May we never suffer for what we know nothing about.

He actually killed someone ! The facts of the case is not in the write up . What if he is truly at fault , a guilty man just walked free because of a missing signature . The Supreme Court should have discharged him and ordered a retrial. But again the man has been set free because of some military laws . May our loved ones not get killed and the murderer goes Scot free because of a signature

Technicalities again, not like the crime wasn't committed, but the GOC didn't sign the charge(paper) used in suing him.

Very pathetic, we use technicality instead of the ingredients of the case . Did he commit the crime or not? If he did hang him.

Judiciary is the biggest problem of this country, if u look at things deeply...these guys have the power to make even the president seat on his toes...But no, they ALWAYS chooze technical bullshyt to let corrupt & hardened criminals go free.

Imagine the army with the esprit de corps convicting U of murder & sentencing u to death( that means the evidence is extremely overwhelming)...but the court thinks they are smarter

With rubbish technicality reasons they gave. Someone who is a murderer now roaming the streets.

Imagine too many useless loopholes in the law, and that GOC who failed to sign the chargesheet should be jailed.

I am sure you didn't read the report. Smh.
He was alleged to have killed an innocent man and just freed now on technicality. If they had released him earlier, the family of the victim would have raised serious issues. He is technically not free sef because the family can raise civil case against him

See why govt and legal are scams? Not that he is not guilty but because of administrative error, a murderer is set free.

The Law says you can but your kings say they can't.

If they sue, as soon as the court hears murder, they would throw it out.

Is judiciary bigger than the king/president? No.

Do you not see that it is the king who appoints the judges?

Judiciary is no 3 it is the president/executive that is the biggest and No 1 problem

The GOC not signing the charge is most likely a deliberate act to give him a loophole to escape justice. Just that his laywers were not smart enough to take advantage of the loophole as quickly as possible.

You may be right. I'm sure they are aware of the provision that there can't be retrial.

Until I understand the reason behind that provision of Section 193, I will hold that that provision was deliberately inserted to favour military personnel in ultimate cases like that.

What I don't understand is if the GCO not signing the charge sheet is equivalent to State Governors failing to sign death penalty for convicts.
