I don't know much about fetish stuff but I assume the intent for her was to change his mind about marrying a second wife. Personally, I understand her POV perfectly. She's most likely making sacrifices in her marriage expecting her children to be the major beneficiaries. His introducing a new wife alters everything. And this one na Twitter advertiser , the dynamics of the marriage has changed.

I say he's insensitive cos most times motherhood changes a woman's body. Even if you are unchanged, most women are reluctant to remarry cos of their children. He's actually taking her for granted...

Personally, I remember reading MKO's biography and for several years, he was married to only Simbiat. Right after he married Kudirat, he kept remarrying.

PrinceofAgoAre:
insensitive ..

😂😂

Did he not mention he informed her before the whole bruhaha ..

How was he insensitive again !!

Was the other Lady trying to use voodoo-ism to harm him like she was going to ..

She didn't target the new lady but her husband ...

That's a clear stupidity..

The financial implication of divorce is wat makes us so uncomfortable with it and of course the social stigma....

financial implications 😂😂😂

Sound like I don't want to part away with hubby's money to me . 😁😁

Social stigma in 2024 .. hahaha.. Another cheap excuse not to to part away with hubby's money ..

If only, if only Nigeria is like the U. S which getting a divorce comes with a special package i.e 50% of hubby's assets ..

Would there be a case of social stigma 😁😁😁

Thanks btw

Soooo annoying and I bet these are some of the keyboard warriors forever giving misogynistic advise on nairaland.

cococandy:

Entitlement doesn’t even begin to cover it.
I’m mentally so far removed from the average Nigerian man’s mindset I can’t even begin to comprehend how they think this means anything.

He compensated her with money. Which money? The money that he earned while married to her? Which means it’s her money too? I’m trying to imagine how someone can compensate me with my own money in order to get my permission to disrespect me in my own home. That’s just hilarious. She should have already had access to that money to begin with. But hey. Different worlds.

Yen yen yen. Most likely the incoming wife was fetish too or u think it's normal to marry a woman advertising herself on Twitter instead of just having a fling with her. The wife was desperate and desperate times call for desperate measures. Her desperation in itself was fueled by her husband's insensitivity.

I definitely will have dumped his sorry ass but every Mallam to his own kettle.

🤣 You're right. I'm surprised Jarus met her on twitter sha. Who would have thought?

Notice the nose rings. I thought our pious jarus would have kicked against such kinds of women.

Making sacrifice..

What sacrifices 😕😕

.

It's not like he's divorcing her , so what's is the need for her to re-marry..

She's still going to be his 1st wife .. she'll still be the mother of his kids .. she'll still be in charge of everything she's in charge of . Heck, the other Lady might not live in the same house as hers ..

She's not being relegated, she'll still be as relevant as she is to him so why does she need to re-marry?? 😕

Funny enough, the second wife would be made to show her respect and address her as a superior .. so I still don't get why she would feel the need to re-marry..
Re: Popular Nairalander Sir Jarus Admits To Domestic Violence On Twitter by Gloriagee(f): 10:33pm On Jun 30
It's not hubby's money to me. Didn't you grow up in Africa and see for yourself what happens in polygamous homes? Take for instance, Yul who's reportedly unwilling to pay his children's fees since he had a second wife!

It's simple maths, this N5m he wants to give his wife. He could have invested it and let's say it appreciates to N30m in 10 years, can be shared among 3 children. If there's no second wife, all the investment goes to her children. If there's a second wife with 3 children, if he's fair or rational, he will share N30m for 6 kids, or he can even choose to ignore the 1st wife's children, there are no guarantees in a polygamous home.

Let's not forget she has invested in him. He says she sold her gold.

Now as per social stigma, divorced women are usually seen as inferior In a culture where marriage is seen as the ultimate achievement.

A lot of the stuff you have said below and I have bolded are assumptions. Now the problem with assumptions are that reality is typically way different.

Till date, have you seen Regina Daniels show any senior wife respect?

They usually hate such women until they get money. Then you realize they hated them because they couldn’t have them. Now they can have them, the goody two shoes virtuous women become a background choice while they pamper the “olosho ones” with everything they refused to give miss good girl.

The way I’ve never and will never encourage a woman to abide by societal definitions of what it means to be a good woman just so she can keep a man? Over my cremated body!

Yep yep actions do indeed speak louder than words. Especially with men. If they really hated “indecency” in women, indecency wouldn’t be so lucrative. When you bring this up to them they’ll tell you those ones are just good for sleeping with but not marriage.

As if we should be proud to be the chosen ones for marriage. When marriage to them is not a guarantee that you’ll be loved, respected or honored.

And yet people wonder why women “open” eye when they go abroad. This one is in one local village in Nigeria and making mouth. Go to a sane environment and try cheating on your wife. You will be the one to leave the house and still pay child support from your shared apartment.

But of course I’m sure men like you will marry the kind of women they deserve.

The parts in bold is absolute nonsense and says a lot about the mentality of some of you on this thread.

People cheat all over the world and it’s never going to change. Bill Clinton was in white when he was knacking sense out of Monica Lewinsky. Matt Hancock was the most important minister in the UK during the Covid era and he was cheating with an aide. Apart from paying hush money to Stormy Daniels to keep their affair secret, Trump was caught on camera how he used to grab them by the pus..y. Beyoncé is one of the prettiest, wealthiest and popular lady in the world and still, Jay-Z was cheating on her. But one random Juan think only men in local village in Nigeria cheats.

Bill cheated on Hillary. Jay-Z cheated on Beyoncé. Charles cheated on Diana. So, who is the lady out there that a man cannot cheat on? You? 🤡

The statement is not that you can’t cheat. Way to miss the point. You can cheat all you want. You’re a grown adult.

The difference is your wife isn’t going to be a helpless enduring foot mat while it happens.
