Ekiti Government rejects power outage announcement

TCN disowns BEDC on power outage in Ondo, Ekiti States

What is it with Nigerian institutions saddling igbo people with public relations positions and nothing more than that?

If it's not public relations, it's publicity secretary.

You don't want Igbo to lead but you want your institutions to have an Igbo face. I no blame una Shaa.

Power outage for 2 months? grin who won't reject such!

The Truth is that ALL those involved in Power Sector Activities in Nigeria are Fraudulent, just that TCN,is Now waking up to its Responsibility of using its authority to challenge the evil Workers in the DISCOS,etc!
Why should Lagos State be having just 2- Discos they don't even know what is happening in the Areas of distribution!
Same with different Regions and what is Mr Adebayo - the Power-Minister up to?

[quote author=delan40 post=130742965] Try to read before commenting. They said power outage for 6 hours daily.

[You are the one that should read before commenting.
Now, calculate how many hours between 8am and 5pm.
Is it 6 hours or 9 hours?]

Let's assume the Discos are rejecting it and start accepting it, that's still less than 10% of the energy needs of the country and will not make any difference.

But what's your evidence they're rejecting it or you just want to parrot what the kleptomaniac inept power ministers have been vomiting?
it will still lead to an improvement sha

Lol... If the minister is lying, the DISCOS won't be quiet.

I laugh at your pliable mind. Useless BEDC that does not supply 3 hours on a normal day, and you believe them? BEDC is the worst power distribution company in Nigeria. It must be disbanded either by human or by divine intervention! Mark it! angry

Use your common sense. TCN cannot transmit if the government is not generating. The bulk of the problem is with the generation. TCN should channel the blame to the right people.

How can Nigeria be generating 2000MW of electricity while some countries of less than100 millions generate more than 40k MW? And I'm talking about African Countries.

Its time for this major discos to be disbanded, especially this BEDC. What sort of maintenance are they doing, that will make them switch off power supply for a whole 2 month... I pity people that don't have meter
Like us in Akure. Whether they give light or not, at the end of the month they come with their ladder to harvest money. I don't know who can save us here.

Eyah, sorry o.

Seems Ondo has a serious electricity problem.

Power supply in Nigeria defies solutions.

The major causes of poor electricity supply in Nigeria is that majority of consumers are not paying what they consume.

Power supply in Akure is so poor, in most part of ikale and ilaje land, they don't even have power supply at all... Nothing is happening in that Ondo state

It's funny how you came to your conclusion based on just Akure, ikale and ilaje.

For your information, Ondo west light has improved significantly for the past one and a half month

A lot of you just love arguing upside down. TCN do not even generate power, they only transmit. If the GENCOS generate 2000MW and TCN transmit the 2000MW, Discos should start transmitting the 2000MW instead of rejecting some of it and accepting some.

I only said the DISCOS are struggling to transmit what the TCN is sending to them... But you're here arguing blindly. Nah me dey even waste my time on you.

There's no where such a thing is stated in the article. BEDC claim there will always be power supply between 8am and 5pm, that's 9hours on, 15 hours off

It's even that 8am to 5pm that they said there won't be light. Imagine not having light at the most productive time of the day grin.

Oga what are you saying. Have you heard at anytime in Nigeria that DISCOS are begging for supply from TCN. How do you justify more transmission when you have not even distributed the small one they gave. If you have an idea of what these DISCOS do you won't defend them for anything

You guys should learn to lie small small. Whenever generation capacity increases, the country usually sees increased power supply. For example, from August to September when water level rises, the power supply rises. This shows the rate of power supply is directly influenced by power generation. Isn't this common sense? But I'm not surprised. It's not common
