This thread is not about the citizenry but about Labor unions in Nigeria fighting for minimum wage. undecided
misplaced priority,I don't need 200k minimum wage, the silly citizen of my motherland should fight for price reduction, Nigerian will pay heavy price if they accept 200k minimum wage

Ojuntana:

That's because it was same Tinubu who was behind all those strikes, mobilising them and sponsoring them with stolen Lagos funds.
That man has done much damage to Nigeria than any Nigerian dead or alive, even Abacha
Maybe, but that's besides the point. NLC needs to shut down the country and force the government to reverse the evil policies they've enacted that have left our people seriously impoverished. Imagine Tinubu asking for a new presidential plane worth billions while the people can't even afford garri. That man is evil

You may not need it but over 100 million Nigerians working for slave wages in Nigeria need it. $130 a month injected into the Nigerian economy by those millions of people will go a long way in rebuilding the economy than the many billions your thieving politicians loot only to then store outside of Nigeria and its economy each year. Labor does not work for only those who are well to do but for those who are at the bottom as well. undecided

He is evil. And has bought people almost everywhere. He'll simply activate his bots within labour and the infighting will make a mess of the shut down

Some people are brainless and very biased snout minimum wage increments..

All the salaries of all the civil servants in Nigeria put together is can not amount to the salaries of the 104 senators we have in Nigeria..

Built vp quarters with 21b no one weeped.
Private jet for tinubu and sheti no one weeped..

How much is 200k to a civil servants that u think would be a reason for inflation?? We are already facing hyper inflation and someone wants to solve inflatable problem by paying workers peanuts..

I pity the kan mentality wen some people get..

I warned against tinubu becoming president some gullibles say he developed Lagos.. hope u can see how he's developing Nigeria with super inflation and hunger

When we told Igbos and their South South Obidient allies to keep their protests from Yorubaland, they were weepi;ng like Ghommids. This is what Kenya has turned into.
During ENDSARS no single Igbo dominated market was burnt down in Lagos state but critical infrastructures and the palace of the Oba of Lagos was looted. Nothing happened in Ladipo or Alaba! Even During arson and chaos, Igbos practice self preservation.
If you Igbos want to orchestrate revolution, start it and do it in Igboland, we will not allow you to hide under protests to import IPO:B miscreants into the West for a proxy civil war against Yoruba race in Nigeria.
To survive in Nigeria, you must open your eyes and destroy political correctness. Nigeria is a very dangerous place for the liberals because they will be consume;d by their own stupidity.

Re: Minimum Wage Delay: Labour Urged To Declare Nationwide Strike by God2man2again(m): 7:23pm On Jul 01
Let's avoid unnecessary delay.
200k is not economically viable with the current economic situation.

The Union , NLC and TUC must not continue to waste time or entertain unnecessary delay.

Whether it is #200k or #62k, it doesn't matter now because the prices of goods are soaring higher at the detriment of the workers. People are suffering and dying daily. Delay tactics must be avoided at all cost.

What the NLC or TUC needs to do now is to have a roundtable discussion with the FG and agree on a reasonable figure that will commensurate with the current economic situation.

That has nothing to do with this at all. The amount workers ought to be paid for their services should not depend on how much poor people living large in poverty --- having children beyond their means-- can afford to pay for the education of same kids. Anyone wanting to go into business and have employees should be able to guarantee them non-slave wages. undecided
Re: Minimum Wage Delay: Labour Urged To Declare Nationwide Strike by abibun: 8:49pm On Jul 01
They should borrow to pay their workers, cause I still don't get your point or you mean children in remote areas should not have access to qualitative education ?
There are some schools with less than 100 children and school fees isn't up to 10k. In such scenario, how much do you expect teachers to be paid? Not forgetting that teachers receive 3 months salary in a term and you should also remember not all the kids will pay

N200,000 minimum wage to FG workers?
What will happen to private sector, can Private sector especially school owners pay 200k minimum wage?
Is it not called National Minimum wage?
Or is it called Federal govt staff minimum wage?
Labour Union say they are asking for minimum for workers, but he excludes private sector and informal sectors from his agreement.
Make una for civil service dey play and salivate to collect 200k monthly for doing nothing.
If Joe Ajaero try nonsense of putting off power in the name of yeye strike, he should be arrested and locked up.
The short fool has not paid his staff minimum wage yet and he is opening his yeye mouth to demand for 615k minimum wage. Can he pay his driver and gateman 615k or 200k he is demanding for?

Nonsense.
Ok I agree with u but legislators, governors, house of reps, presidents , vice etc must earn 200k per month , let me see how far,
Mind iu , I didn't say 65k or 70k ther are proposing to minimum wage

1. If you have to borrow in order to pay your workers a living wage then you should strongly consider the business of no real worth to you or anyone. undecided

2. Again,it should not matter what the parents are able to pay or not able to pay. If you have to have employees, you should be able to pay them a living wage above slave wages otherwise you should shut the business down. Simple! undecided

3. Again, it does not matter whether parents can pay or not. All businesses unable to pay a decent wage to their employees should be denied their business licenses. Simple! undecided
