Well, the government has had its backers too. Back in the 90's, US Secretary of State Madeline Albright called Congo "Africa's First World War" because of the sheer number of countries involved in the conflict on government and rebel sides.

Paul Kagame is just a shithead, allowing himself to be used by the west to disrupt Congo. They destabilise Congo so that they can keep stealing their resources during the chaos but they can't do directly as that will be obvious. So they have been using Kagame of Rwanda to destabilise Congo.

Anyone wonders why Kagame is almost like a life president in Rwanda?

Until Africa gets true, bold and righteous leaders, it will not develop....

It's time for the reawakening of Africa. In my opinion, we need good governance and also, break the boundaries given to us by our European colonial masters.

It is not about breaking boundaries given by colonial masters it is about people voting bad leaders knowingly because of greed, tribalism and wickedness. Even if you break the boundaries with these wicked leaders nothing will change. South Sudan is a typical example that the issue is not about breaking but get the right leaders in place.

You dey mind those buffoons that don't know the implications of full blown war

If you have bad leaders and you guys vote based on wickedness, hunger and tribalism, you will see more agitation. If you are fair to the igbos there will be nothing like agitation.
But everytime we keep pretending that the igbos are playing victim when they are truly not. Even Clarke said it and acknowledged it. So let us for once speak the truth and stop playing eye service and Ostrich games. If you treat people with equity and give them a belonging in the country, if any psycho says Biafra nobody will answer him, but because these guys are disillusioned with the country, the Biafra thing becomes interesting to the ear.

That war cannot stop because the government is enjoying it , simple

The government is supporting and Harbouring the hutsu militias inside Congo , that gave Rwanda extra full right to be sponsoring wars inside Congo

I pity you. The unity of Nigeria can only be sacrosanct if we elect leaders that have the love of Nigeria irrespective of tribal affiliation. So far we use tribalism and malign a tribe from exercising their rights anywhere they are, this agitation will be attractive to their ears, and so far people like you are not willing to work, but hate on a tribe and desire to burn their properties and intimidate them in elections, these agitations will be attractive to the ears.

Congo’s wars will continue due to the country’s massive reserves of rare earth minerals. The white man is behind every instability in the African continent. We’re nothing but slaves to them who should either be put into production for their kind or face death. The fact we breed like rats means a steady labour force for their unending greed. If our resources dry up, they’ll leave immediately and watch us tear each other apart.

You're right. I wept reading "What Really Happened in Congo: The CIA, the Murder of Lumumba, and the Rise of Mobutu"

What revolution?!!

This is GREED and hunger for power!

How many African nations who saw overthrow of governments went on to achieve excellence or real progress?!!

When you hear agitation or revolution in African nations, best believe that another set of corrupt criminals want their share of the national resources.

True nationalism and patriotism are alien to an average Negro!

I don't even stand to be corrected at all!

Spits!!! undecided
rwand, south Africa,Liberia..(check Liberian dollar to naira)...they developed after a certain revolution

With all the training and support from almighty RUSSIA.
But some people on this platform are claiming that Russia is the messiah.
Greed is just the fundamental problem with black African countries.

When they say:
" ...the unity of Nigeria is sacrosanct"

...it actually means that the by-force-by-fire joining of various ethnicities in the contraption called Nigeria for the enjoyment of the white ppls, overseers by the fulanis, to the misery of the other ethnicities...is non-negotiable.

Africans do not produce leaders. They are given their leaders and as long as such leaders follow the script of their masters, they can perpetuate themselves in power.

M23 rebel is funded by Rwanda, Paul kagame should stop destabilizing DR Congo

Congo is a country rich in natural resources, but the people are very poor, the country is plagued by armed conflicts funded by foreign powers for their selfish interest, It boasts vast deposits of industrial diamonds, cobalt and copper, Most of the raw mineral deposits remain untapped and are worth an estimated $24 trillion

Congo is by far the richest country in Africa in terms of natural resources, unfortunately it remains underdeveloped

If DR Congo is rich in minerals, why can't they fund an army that can defend their people?DR Congo is just another fake African country that is corrupt and useless. Like Nigeria, a government that cannot protect its people cannot develop its people, let the strongest take the country.
