onegentleguy: eziokwunwoko: Conservative FVE for PRESCO is @ N561.9 at present, so the stock is a buy @ CMP. But as you know; I always prefer to be an "early bird". Why didn't you key in before now? PRESCO was trading for less than N57 when I put out the post above. Someone sent me a mail earlier asking if CHAMS is a buy @ the CMP, and my response was simple; why didn't you take position when I was practically screaming about the stock @ 20--21k. The reason some folks will argue about the value accretive stance of an asset when it's ridiculously underpriced but turn around to praise the same asset after it must delivered triple-digit return (even after 500--650% ROI in some instances) is the inability to proficiently and efficiently interpret financial statements. I did highlight the immense potential in PRESCO at about the same time I issued an outperform rating on TRANSCORP @ 97k. Even @ N1.3, I remained resolute in my inquest-based analysis of TRANSCORP but some dude tagged them an epistle. Today everyone thinks that both coys are the next best thing after sliced bread. Not surprised though. Afterall, people also argued with me about FIDSON @ N1.1, PZ @ N4, WEMA @ 55-58k, NEIMETH @ 38--40k, UACN @ N4+, GUINESS @ N14+, UNILEVER @ N10+, ,GSK @ N5, UPDC @ 70k, STERLING @ N1.4, ACEESS/UBA swaps @ N8--9.7, ZENITH @ N9+, GTB @ N17... to mention a few. Today most folks are excited about the present and future prospects of these coys. I recall stating in very clear terms why I'd gladly swap OKOMU for PRESCO or assign a much higher portfolio weighting (ref:70/30) in favour of the latter following a comparative analysis on both coys. ...with the former trading @ near 80% premium to the latter at the time. But then again, someone called it an epistle because according to him, PRESCO didn't declare a good enough dividend. In recent times some have also argued about certain coys, but I always pray that God should continue to preserve us alive so we live long enough to see how TIME sets matters straight as always. ...everyone knows I LOVE Mr. Time. It is well 6 Likes 1 Share |

onegentleguy:You are doing well.Pls hence forth put time frame too on this calls. My years in the market has come to tell me that good fundamental stocks will always appreciate over time. This numbers you mentioning are sometimes 4 /5 yrs ago.I once bought the same presco long ago at #29, dangota cement at #145 They are now history because I have sold them. To be sincere any call that does not perform within 12 months is nothing special for fundamental sound stocks because they must deliver over time if the call is anchored on infinity. Imagine me saying I discovered value in ucap many yrs ago at #1.. 15 Likes 1 Share |

Streetinvestor2: Most of the coys in that post delivered their double-digit % return within a 1--2 yr timeline. Except for a few, like GSK which turned up after nearly 3 years. That's definitely not a lengthy time to amass that kind of ROI. (1--3 yrs is mid-term) PRESCO was just 2 yrs ago. (that post was in early 2022) The stock was trading for N57+ at the time. I can clearly recall how a certain HNI took a key position in the stock after I gave the green light. And Yes, I charged a fee for that, so someone doesn't assume that I give everything for free. We know what we give, so sometimes we attach a fee to it, at least to compensate for the often rigorous effort devoted to arriving at valid conclusions. The later part of your post is your opinion, so i've got absolutely no response to that. ...because doing so would infer you do not fully understand the connection between fundamental analysis and long-term investing, especially for a self-acclaimed "old bird" in the equities market. It'll be utterly unnecessary to start mentioning the many coys we've highlighted in time past that delivered appreciable returns in a matter of weeks and a few months, sometimes, even days. ...totally unnecessary! I do NOT need to prove anything my dear. ...not to you, or anyone else for that matter. I've always said that am still a learner. Do take care 7 Likes 1 Share |

@OGG, the best NSEMPA acknowledged stock picker, though I do not and had never follow your picks. My humble view. "There appears to be no investment value in a call that lacks a specific timeframe. It arbitrarily targets all listed equities on the exchange. A genuine stock picker with a proven track record must demonstrate their skills within a three-month period. Any claims beyond this timeframe are likely self-promotional and indirectly market to uninformed subscribers. You can benefit forum members by sharing a screenshot of your wealth portfolio, which would convince more novices to join your subscription service. As a licensed financial advisor, which you are, showcasing your portfolio's performance would silence skeptics and encourage them to utilise your services. 12 Likes |

Tony has done very well in the last 10 years I came to the same thought on UBA also that it likely invests in the TE ecosystem. That UBA will likely not have high levels of impairment costs compared to other banks going forward. I was not surprised a couple of years back when a couple of international Nigerian banks were impacted by Ghana credit issues with impairment costs and UBA was not impacted. As UBA had a better funnel to put funds to work in TE ecosystem. Mankind2024: 2 Likes |

Yes, you're a good thinker. You don't need to rely on stock pickers if you understand the dynamics of TE (Tony Elumelu). I recall that in March 2023, I disputed and rejected the technical analysis by Agbalowomeri et al. that predicted Transcorp plc would trade at below N1.00, when the stock was stagnant at N3.00+. Three months later, the stock soared to N7+. Just yesterday, I made a post about the TE financial ecosystem and my willingness to bet N10M on it. Today, the story is different. We don't need subscribers for this kind of call. Serving humanity is the best way to serve Almighty God. Even the best investment analysts, fund managers, and stock pickers don't always beat the index without a bit of luck. Currently, I'm ahead of inflation and the mid-year index due to diligent research and a bit of luck, not because of technical analysis (TA) or fundamental analysis (FA), but rather my unwavering commitment to my investment objectives. I hyperinvest my little earnings. BabsO2: 2 Likes |

I think I'm gonna be posting a snapshot of my portfolio at the start of each quarter cause that was the second b2b quarter of 40%+ returns. Also because streetinvestor is always mocking me for not dropping advise. That being said, i will never recommend anyone to invest in what i don't have stake in. DD advised as always. Side note: I'm still upcoming so don't laugh at my portfolio. I have 45m in cash that i will use to average down if needed. 18 Likes 1 Share

Agbalowomeri: So you didn't see the cross of the lagging span above the leading span B at the confluence with trendline and KSL effective breakout. (and retest) some days ago. Your cloud analysis also didn't spot... After telling folks to wait for GTCO @ N15, ZENITH @ N10 and ACCESSCORP/UBA @ N5, you've now suddenly come back to say this.
