Lazy Nigerians that don't want to protest. Look at what Kenya did to Ruto. Stop begging and start protesting

What did Kenya do to Ruto? Is Ruto the owner of the shops and buildings looted or the cars burned? Was Ruto killed? Is he in the hospital or prison? Did Ruto lose his job or family members? Is Ruto going to get less pay or no pay? Do you think it's Ruto's bank account or money that will be used to rebuild the billions of dollars worth property that was destroyed and stolen? What exactly is your hallucination about Ruto?

Every day on my Facebook timeline, Instagram and Twitter, I see weddings, parties and ceremonies organised by people back home. Anyone marrying or having children, in my books, is not suffering. So, I am yet to believe that Nigerians are suffering to the point of death. Most of my classmates are doing well for themselves. Some are doing okay. My major issue is the insecurity. It makes long-term capital investment a dicey situation.
You're right, the insecurity issues is alarming, and that's what compounded the situation,to go to farm without being security conscious sef na risk

People abroad are going through alot. A friend of mine that sold his car to travel abroad is there and contemplating suicide.

In the UK he said it is not the way they told him. He is unable to get a job and Is being catered for by a stranger. man comes to my DM to cry everyday but I keep encouraging him to stay and don't come back because back home we sef are going through hell. In his words " I don't think any hell can be compared to what we face here. Atleast in Nigeria I have siblings and uncles that can accommodate me but over here without a job, I am depressed and suicidal with no support system"

He is a fighter and I know he will come out of it strong.

Are u serious

Yes na. India is worse than Nigeria. It is just that since there more than a billion, the news of them doing well in some areas make it seem the rest are doing well. China is way much better and has progressed over time than India.

I am glad it has stopped. I'm not too fond of the way Nigerians use religious parlance to mask or deviate from issues. But honestly, it seems things are tougher than I envisaged. shocked

The litmus test to know who voted Tinubu was that statement.

It was really annoying. Funny thing is, they'll still vote Tinubu and come up with a fancier quote to feel better.

Look at how fellow Nigerians are supporting those in diaspora to be stingy and wicked. Man, you people are EVIL.
No difference between you and the evil Nigerian politicians without emotions.

Lol, I mean... Okay, i felt nl is a bit too anonymous and if you're one that wishes to make a journal of your lifestyle, I was thinking a snapshot would pro'lly be better. I think just a few days ago, someone did a diary detailing how he biked all the way from his home to the niagara waterfalls in Canada.

But yours seems to be incremental and consistent. I was thinking maybe a Youtube channel is a better alternative. I may be wrong -- and again, its possible you're doing that already. I am not very sure nl ensures proper connection to the right audience and neither does it allow native video functionality...which makes sense for lifestyle stuff right? Pics may not be enough.

As for politics, sis, pls, I'd fumble at it. I never want to lead; I'm just hardwired that way I guess. Even at workplace, I do not show intention to become a leader or scheme to become a supervisor like some others (which is not bad). I tell my friends how followership is just as important as leadership, if not more. Holding the mantle is but for a few. How followers think and organise ensures the success or failure of leaders for the most part.

Aaah I get it now. cheesy

2 reasons mainly for me.

1) it serves as record of what I am thinking/ feeling at a particular time. They say the Internet never forgets eh? It's my hope that someday in future, my son will stumble across it and get to know the inner workings of my mind.

Yes, nairaland is anonymous but those who truly know me will recognise that it is me. My brother did, without pictures. grin

2) To dispel the common narrative about women. Nothing is in black and white. It's not to say hey look at me, I'm all of this and bag of chips. It's more to challenge some prevailing thinking, about life, relationships, parenthood. To let others know there are other ways of living and thinking.

I hear you about not wanting leadership itself but being happy to collective based on the common good. I feel the same myself..ie it is a lot when people look to you to do the thinking for them.

You have a good energy about you from our little interaction.

continue typing nonsense. Yorubas are only ones that use say eat (heat) and heat ( eat ) using h in place of e . Unger ( hunger) etc and that’s what she is using in the video unless you are too poor to even afford data to watch few minutes video. She is pure Yoruba but any that’s want to expose you people foolishness you will call them igbo as usual. Ebinpawa will continue to flog you and you will be online wailing to igbos forever like animal 😂

They say silence is the best answer for a fool, but unfortunately that’s a lie.
It’s more pleasurable to make a fool know they are senseless.
First that woman is not Yoruba, it’s very obvious. Secondly, that woman if she voted never would be someone who voted Tinubu. She’s on the same team you are, but your bitterness and stupidity makes you do a friendly fire. Even if she’s not on the same team you are, it doesn’t mean you should celebrate her pain. But because you are a first class animal, an irresponsible hungry pained joblesss troll on NL, with zero accomplishment in life.
Don’t be a failure forever, we know you are in pains and you think Yorubas are responsible for the misfortunes you face offline while you come here to laugh crocodile laughs. Go and hustle and see food chop, and if you can’t afford anything to eat, DM me, maybe I can spare small change for you to eat.
You are nothing but a smello, an unintelligent one. You are low life, the only joy you get is come online to argue like a low life that you are.

I can bet you are no longer a small boy, you should be in your 40s if not 50s and you are here throwing banters with your children age mates. Offline I should be calling you uncle and be sending you on errands. Have you got no shame. ?

The problem is that man is not God,and God does his own things his own ways..Me I do not wish anybody bad ,but let the right thing be done at the right time by our leaders please.Let God be the judge of that..
NoFoodToCook:
Nigerians abroad, PLEASE kindly help your fellow Nigerians back home. The situation in the country right now is so bad that the majority of Nigerians cannot even afford one square meal. I'm not talking about a proper square meal. I'm talking about anything to hold their stomach, they can't afford.

Parents are becoming suicidal and children are dying already.

If you watch the woman in this video, you will understand what most Nigerians are going through including myself.

Yesterday, I ate food that even the dogs of some people cannot eat. Dogs of the rich now eat better food than some Nigerians.

Please and please again, I know it's not easy anywhere but it's really bad back in Nigeria. Help Nigerians whether you know the person personally or not. We are dying. Hunger is killing us. Families are selling kids to feed others. Most of us didn't vote for Tinubu, but here we find ourselves.

Watch this woman and see the frustration in the land.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6sUGPKUQ7s

Remain blessed as you extend your hand of help to hungry Nigerians back home. It's not what we bargain for. We just found ourselves here.

1. It's interesting how women create that time to document their life. You are just one amongst many others I have seen form this habit. I don't know how u guys do it but it's nice.

2. Brilliant submission.

3. Still a little too early, don't you think so? Let me sound like Maiyegun Diary's Politico. Whenever he gets some plaudits from a new member, subscriber or caller, he'd urge them to be patient cos it's probably too early to pass some judgment. He'd say when he unleashes other aspects of his ideologies, it may clash with those of his new caller. So he'd make that proviso clear enough so that further down the road, the new member isn't caught off-guard if his expectations about him begin to veer lol cheesy

Anyway I frankly do not think that will be the case with me, or should I say 'us'?? Using the word 'us' is already sounding a bit too somehow, so ealry o. cheesy cheesy

The current rate of suicide in Nigeria is unprecedented with many unreported cases.

People like us who are hitherto natural givers find it hard to ask for monetary help but due to my current situation, I have to seek for financial help from friends abroad and their lack of positive response is compounding my situation and making me to feel ashamed about my current financial distress and I am almost regretting asking for financial help in the first instance

God will help u...

Most jobs here in uk to be precise are care work which is somehow like giving care to elderly..assisting in washing, preparing meal, cleaning and changing of nappies.

Nurses.. Working in hospitals

Then factory work where u work as unskilled workers.. This is for the strong because it's standing

Security...nighy watch

Carpenters, plumbing etc hand work

Office jobs are few and are mostly occupied by the British or those who knows their system and ascent... Like bank work, mangers etc.

Note that UK don't produce much.. They import shoes, cloths, electronics etc from China and Co but healthcare give it to UK

If they don’t produce much
And I guess they don’t really have much naturally resources

So how do they make money? And continue to be a first world country?

1) you know they say that we women like talking😀, it's an extension of that I guess..more talking but in written form. That said, there are many guys in documenting the same in that section. I like hanging around that space..the inner workings of people's minds intrigues me.

2) In order words, hive mentality. Naah, anyone who believes that there must be agreement in all aspects still has some growing to do. There are no absolutes in this world, we will always have differing views and that is welcome point.

As long as we can disagree respectfully and engage in discourse with an open mind. There are only two possible outcomes.

A) my initial stance gets reinforced.

B) I learn something new beyond my current knowledge.

All I ask is that it is well reasoned or backed by facts/evidence.

Critical thinking and Echo chambers are mutually exclusive.

About the "us", 2 people chatting falls under that reference. Free your mind, lol

Through taxes, through immigration etc.
E.g if u are working u pay 20% to government every month. Pay for council tax also.
Their government managed their resources and are accountable to the people that's what I see here.
