For Schengen medical visas it's stated that, "Medical certificate of the approved doctor, stating that it is impossible to treat the patient in the country."
Does this same rule also apply to medical visa applications for Turkey?

Yes, you are to get a referral letter from a doctor in Nigeria and then a letter from a doctor in Turkey ( The letter will be written in English & Turkiye )

There is no online website to apply for Turkey visa, if you are based in Abuja you need to physically go to the embassy and submit your application an application form will be given to you. You can find the requirements depending on the type of visa you want.

If you are based in Lagos they have a collection center in VI where you also be given a form to fill and they will check your documents you bring . In Lagos it cost about 537,500 naira ( This is all inclusive including courier fees)ok..that's good though very high ohh🤣🤣. Thanks for the info.

Where are you applying from ?I'm applying from Nigeria LAGOS. I have already filled our form online and print out the application with a barcode generated on the form. So is appointment I'm looking for how to book it. Our arrival date is 30th sept and leave 8th oct

Go to another country if you wanna go on tourism. I am not saying turkey is bad but it would only be fun if you go as a group. I repeat don’t go alone. Communication is very difficult

When it comes to tourism and vacation, no country beats Türkiye in my opinion. One of the fun of it is the difficulty in communication. Make no mistake, there is a reason why Istanbul was the most visited city in 2023.

Update - I have received my Turkey visa - I applied for medical tourism.

It took Approx 2 weeks. DHL just returned my passport today.

I was given single entry to stay a max of 25 days and it will expire end of September. I live in Lagos and use the submission office in VI, I did not go through any agent . I applied myself.

UPDATE:
Today is 18th October 2023 which is about 3 weeks after I submitted my application to the Turkish embassy in Abuja via Voya visa. I went to Voya visa to withdraw the application as I have to be in Uk in about a week.
Voya visa said I have to go to Turkish embassy in diplomatic drive for withdrawal of application. Went there and joined the small crowd that came for different things. (you sit outside under a tree and chairs are limited. I stood for a while).
After waiting for about 20mins, a staff member came to attend to everyone and it was quick.
Came back and told me my passport had been ready for over 2weeks that he’s surprised I didn’t receive an email for pick up. Wrote the date and asked me to go back to Voya visa. Went there and picked up my passport with visa.
The overall experience was stressful for a country I plan to visit just for 3 days. It’s not worth the stress.
Plus the cranky and very rude chubby lady at the reception acting as if she’s the consular herself.
Anyway, for your info: passport collection is only at 2pm, if you go earlier you will stand outside the gate and wait.
This information is not on their website or anywhere. You find out at the gate.
Overall, voyavisa services is very terrible and needs to be scrapped. I won’t go through such stress again

Applied on 11th in Lagos.

DHL brought the passport today. I saw a pink paper first with a white paper stating that the visa application has been forwarded to Turkey and i would be contacted when they get a response.

I thought no visa was inside.

Lo and behold, I opened the passport and they also sticked a three months visa on it.

Going on an official trip though but the trip is super important to me so I am relieved.
