Agbalowomeri:Oga Agba, while nothing is impossible in this market, I doubt if DS can get to 25 again.... * Reason I said this is that DS has been generating good revenues....only shortcomings was/is the FX losses * If we look beyond FX loss, DS isn't doing bad at all * 2ndly, if DS fair value stood at 45 when it was trading at 16/17, then, I don't think the fair value by now should be less than 60 (assume we remove the FX loss) *...and this is not even factoring in the proposed merger yet. Lol. This is my amateur and quark opinion anyway. * CP you don ignore your duty post o. 2 Likes |

If we rely solely on PA Agba's charts to dictate our investment decisions in the NGX, we risk missing out on opportunities unless a pandemic, military coup, or natural disaster occurs, which no one can predict except God. yMcy56: |

yMcy56: I only gave you like 'worse-case' scenario based on TA for ONLY DS Other factors will definitely come into play for example a general bull Edited: I took a look again using the stochastic which is a powerful short-term 'buy' indicator It shows that it might have rejected the support at 38-40 price region on the daily. However, the weekly is not yet in the buying zone 3 Likes

bovali: Ok, I see you point. You don't consider revenue from rental income worthy of mention which is fair enough. However, note that that has always been their business model. They started out leasing equipment to the O&G industry - barges, tug boats etc. Then they added sand dredging and leasing of dredgers. A few years ago, they veered into the quarry business and have now recently shifted focus to solid minerals mining. Recently, they announced a private placement to a foreign investor at N2.50 which is awaiting regulatory approval. I reckon it's the reason the share price has been trading sideways for sometime now. I guess the market is awaiting the finalisation or confirmation of that deal and the forward plan. Please note that I'm not placing a BUY on Japaul just providing my own commentary. I expect everyone to do their own DD. 1 Like |

People just want to hear bullish trends always, but in stock you have positive and negative trends. 1 Like |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by vacanci: 9:06am On Jul 02 |
naturalflow: That's not true. people who have not finished accumulating will be praying for bearish trend so they can take position. If Presco for example is going down, do you know how many people will be happy about it? Even those that already have it will want to accumulate more. The long haul is the koko. This is so they can have entry opportunities. |

I began investing in the NYSE in April 2021. I was one of the fortunate followers of the US stocks pick alert who successfully opened an account with Trading 212 (T212). Unfortunately, they no longer allow Nigerian investors to open accounts with them. T212 offers free buying and selling on their platforms. My greatest regret was panic-selling and liquidating my NYSE portfolio at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic; I sold my investments at a terrible low price. I'm referring to Berkshire B, Tesla, and S&P; if I had held onto those stocks until now, they would be worth around $150,000. However, my instinct led me to bet on the NGX market recovery, which resulted in my current holdings in Transcorp plc, Ikeja Hotel, UCAP, UBA, Zenith, NAHCO and others small capitalised stocks on NGX. Even after rebalancing and profit-taking, my current NGX portfolio balance is more of profit. My goal in NYSE is to achieve a $1 million portfolio balance by 2030. Currently, I'm in my Early 40s and aiming to (FIRE) by 55. thebargainhunte: 6 Likes 1 Share |

Paul Jegede's reputation and integrity are comparable to those of Mr. Wale Tinubu. Notably, he even ventured into cryptocurrency businesses at a point, demonstrating his willingness to explore opportunities where there is none. Omooloriredade: |

Mankind2024: Unfortunately, I can't defend him. I was unimpressed when he ventured into the quarry business after all the opportunities listing on the NSE afforded him. I'm keen to see what comes out of the solid minerals mining and refining venture. There are opportunities not just for Japaul but for Nigeria as a whole in this space. I won't be holding my breath though. 1 Like |

yMcy56: never ignore na, you and oga Agba have done d needful to DS, all u na opinion make sense... I have not been courageous to check the numbers due to Forex issues dealing with the company, a company with previous good oxygen slip into negative retained earnings the stock may continue shedding price until good news comes into rescue... though if no general bearish don't see the stock @ 25 level. Technically i have strong support @ 32/33 which am watching with keen interest 3 Likes |

Agbalowomeri: Let me explain what I mean by rebalancing. So last quarter I got into oando end of q1 and that was my best return (40%) so I sold to buy things that are yet to move up which you can see in my current portfolio. But if at the end of q3, any of them are above 40% and there are some that are still stagnant and haven’t moved, I would sell that 40% to buy more of the stagnant one (that is after I do dd to ensure I still maintain the same view on the stock). And if I’m rebalancing at the end of q3 and see that stocks like oando retraced back to 10-11, I will buy again. Truth is, opportunities will always come so I don’t have any attachment to any stock 4 Likes |

Omooloriredade: I understand, but for rental income to increase you need more equipment to rent out. I didn’t see where they bought more PPE for this. So what are the prospects for revenue improvement? What is their path to profitability? If the private placement goes well, from current prices that’s a 25% return to 2.5 but if it doesn’t go well and it drops to 1 Naira that’s a 50% loss. From a risk to reward perspective, I wouldn’t come near it |
