Better be topping the oil. If your engine is still sounding good, maintain that pressure cos the moment u open it up to re-ring it, and it's not properly done then say good bye to that engine. Corolla engine is almost 1m
The solution is to rering it and change valve seals. But must be done by a highly professional mechanic who will use original quality parts.

I was told that too, but can't take the risk to re ring it.

Will stick to topping it up.

I use hardex . Its 30k. n I drain my oil every month.
Some folks will say it's full synthetic. I tell them, that's Bullshit. Once you do 2500-3000km on the car, you should drain the oil. If you are into ehailing full-time, in a month, you will clock in 2500-3000km @ the minimum

The car is bringing in money, so it needs to be taken care of too.

Only new engines can be serviced @ 5000km intervals.

Do they have 1litre, might switch to this and will be buying 1liter to top it up....

Your odometer is actually in miles. So if u are targeting 3,000km then I are wasting your money on oil cos it means u will be changing oil at about 2,000miles. 6,000miles is the recommended oil change.
My car automatically indicates "maintenance required" at 5,000 miles. If u are using 5w30 oil, then 5,000 miles is okay for servicing. It's even better that the car gets fresh top ups before next service. meaning u get a little fresher oil than the car that's not chopping oil and will not get fresh top up until next service.

My camry runs on miles as well, and I use 20w-50 for it, when is it ideal to change the oil?

I would have stick to topping up the oil but then, I can't be buying 1 litre of oil every 2 weeks, that expense is too expensive

You go buy toks oil?

sometimes I see trips on indrive and I wonder who are the drivers taking such trips. nothing on God's green earth will take me to sango Otta even during dry season not to talk of rainy season.

To confirm if it's the engine that is shorting the oil check your plugs and the exhaust

You might be mulling the idea of opening your Engine. grin. Don't try it.
A corrolla engine hovers around 800k+.

If an extra 8k monthly. on oil that's like 96k yearly. Compared to looking for a new tokunbo engine.

96k versus 800k. cool

The better choice is obvious to everyone.

How about ringing the engine between 150-200k and close the chapter 🤷

Boss say no more, you cant convince me. Dispatch riders are aliens. They have plot of lands beside stanbic bank headquarter with zero worries.

Highest I can do is when I see anybody selling for bricklayers. I park car and join the party. Rice 300, yam 200, mix Ponmo and meat, bread and use 7up to wash it down. I can drive for 2 days uninterrupted.

Shey na one course meal be this or breakfast, lunch and dinner🥺
