4willer: Eterna Oil is a downstream (marketing) company and sells refined products in naira Oando is an upstream company, and exports crude oil and gas for revenues in US dollars. If they are to sell to Dangote in dollars, it would affect the price at which Dangote can supply the local market. Hence, govt may have to find a way to supply crude to Dangote in naira. Companies that hitherto benefitted from subsidies may be negatively affected. |

Maybe. I read the news when it was released last year. I think only MRS and ETERNA are the listed companies of the 10+ that were engaged as major distributors of Dangote Refined Products... Hold your kettle very well... 4willer: |

I think NNPCL/FG has about 20% stake in DANGREFINERY and I believe that whatever agreement they signed MUST include steady crude supply... mikeapollo: |

Agbalowomeri: All the cabals in the oil upstream, downstream, regulation, IOCs and politicians are working hard to make sure that despite the presence of the Dangote refinery nothing changes in the money they have been making, and by extension no respite comes to ordinary Nigerians. It should now be clear to all that the national refineries at PH, Warri and Kaduna will never work, and anybody calling for their rehabilitation is either nieve or a beneficiary of the massive refinery rehabilitation fraud. May God help us. |

Mankind2024:Truly you are so fortunate to be among those that opened an account with them. I have been looking for a way to start trading NYSE then, but I couldn't find. I am okay with NSE now. You are doing very well already, with the funds at your disposal, I believe $1 million is feasible with proper trading skill. You are ahead of me, I am in my early thirties and I would like to FIRE by 50 or 45 although, I am still praying for funds to start my journey. 3 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by bovali(f): 8:49pm On Jul 02 |
Lexzokomo:Simple answer: yes. And donât worry, youâre not bothering me. All of us are constantly learning. Imagine you have money to buy 10 chocolates. Your friend offers to lend you enough money to buy up to 100 chocolates. This means you have high leverage. High Leverage: ⢠You can borrow a lot of money to trade more chocolates. Smaller Lots: ⢠Even though you have the option to buy up to 100 chocolates (because of high leverage), you can choose to trade smaller lots, like 10 or 20 chocolates. So, you have a choice: ⢠You can use the high leverage to buy a large number of chocolates, like 100. ⢠Or, you can decide to buy smaller amounts, like 10 or 20 chocolates, even though you have the ability to buy more. This means you are using the high leverage to have the option to trade big, but you are choosing to trade smaller amounts. In summary: ⢠High leverage gives you the power to trade large amounts. ⢠You can still decide to trade smaller lots, even with high leverage. Side note: if youâre referring to forex trading, that why they give you the option to set your leverage ratio. Default is usually 500:1. If youâre referring to structured leverage (investment banking), you can apply for letâs say 20m leverage and get it approved but you only get charged for what you drawdown(actually use). 3 Likes |

What was I saying earlier today... PRESS RELEASE NNPC Ltd Declares State of Emergency on Crude Oil Production ...Calls for Collaboration to Reduce Production Cost In a move towards increasing Nigeriaâs crude oil production and growing its reserves, NNPC Ltd has declared a state of emergency on production in Nigeriaâs oil and gas industry. Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd, Mr. Mele Kyari, disclosed this in a keynote address at the opening ceremony of the 23rd edition of the Nigeria Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition (NOG Energy Week) in Abuja, on Tuesday. âWe have decided to stop the debate. We have declared war on the challenges affecting our crude oil production. War means war. We have the right tools. We know what to fight. We know what we have to do at the level of assets. We have engaged our partners. And we will work together to improve the situation,â the GCEO declared. According to him, a detailed analysis of assets revealed that Nigeria can conveniently produce two million barrels of crude oil per day without deploying new rigs, but the major impediment to achieving that remains the inability of players to act in a timely manner. He said the âwarâ will help NNPC Ltd. and its partners to speedily clear all identified obstacles to effective and efficient production such as delays in procurement processes, which have become a challenge in the industry. On medium to long-term measures aimed at boosting and sustaining production, Kyari said NNPC Ltd. would replace all the old crude oil pipelines built over four decades ago and also introduce a rig sharing programme with its partners to ensure that production rigs stay in the country for between four and five years which is the standard practice in most climes. He called on all players in the industry to collaborate towards reducing the cost of production and boosting production to target levels. He expressed the Companyâs commitment to investing in critical midstream gas infrastructure such as the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) and the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipelines to boost domestic gas production and supply for power generation, industrial development and economic prosperity of the country. On Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Kyari observed that NNPC Ltd. has since keyed into the Presidential CNG drive, adding that in conjunction with partners such as NIPCO Gas, NNPC Ltd. has built a number of CNG stations, 12 of which will be commissioned on Thursday in Lagos and Abuja. The opening ceremony of the NOG Energy Week also saw goodwill messages and keynotes presented by the Secretary General of the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Haitham Al Ghais; Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), Engr. Mohamed Hamel; Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri; Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo; Special Adviser to the President on Energy, Ms. Olu Verheijen as well as the Chairman, Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG), Mr. Abdulrazaq Isa. NNPC Ltd. is the Principal Sponsor of 2024 NOG Energy Week Conference & Exhibition which has as its theme âshowcasing opportunities, driving investment and meeting energy demand.â Olufemi O. Trading My intrinsic mentality is investing for future wealth. NSEMPA investors should consider investing in the Magnificent 7. Limiting oneself to NGX could lead to financial constraints. The impact of the ongoing right issues on the value of the Naira and overall portfolio outlook by 2025 remains uncertain. An analyst made a successful bet on NVDA two years ago, aiming to retire by 2030, and the investment paid off a year earlier than expected. It's becoming an investment oversight not to have a stake in the Magnificent 7 and S&P 500. While nothing can be predicted with absolute certainty, I have a clear idea of how my investments in the Magnificent 7 and S&P 500 will likely perform in the next four years. It's challenging to predict if most stocks listed on NGX will reach their fair value estimates due to the unstable petrodollar economy and inconsistent government interference and policies. In contrast, the US economy is driven by technology, with the 4th and 5th industrial revolutions contributing significantly. The Magnificent 7 are at the forefront of this technological advancement. Yesterday, TSLA drove the market with its delivery of over 420,000 full electric vehicles. If TSLA achieves production of 1 million units per quarter and successfully launches its fully self-autonomous driverless vehicle, which is becoming a reality, then owning 1000 units could make you a dollar millionaire by 2030. The stock could trade between $1500 to $2500 by then. Take a clue for this self investor who placed a bet on NVDA 2 years ago, he won the bet a year earlier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMCrzNUMUag?si=VT0XtNyDEGKYat8H thebargainhunte: 2 Likes |

Ginalex: I love the fact that you're specific in what you want to learn, stock valuation. Many of the books on this subject are very advanced and for professionals. The best and most simplified reading I've ever done on valuation is from a little known book by Mohnish Pabrai called "Mosaic". The book is out of print but is available for free on his website. I'll post a link to the chapter on valuation below. I hope it helps give you a foundation you can build on with other materials. Cheers. https://www.chaiwithpabrai.com/uploads/5/5/1/3/55139655/intrinsic_value.pdf 9 Likes |

There's no bubble in sight, as the fundamentals are incredibly strong. The Magnificent 7 (Mag7) are the foundation of the 5th Industrial Revolution. Just wait until fully autonomous self-driving taxi services become a reality. They're already 100 miles ahead of their closest competitors. All the forecasters, anticipators, and analysts who predicted a bubble have been humbled by the resilience of the S&P 500 and NYSE. Now, they are working on possible China vs US War, Nuclear War with Russia. Until then, enjoy the ride. The next time I flash NGX portfolio Vs NYSE, the growth disparity would be clearer. Volatility, yesđAn opportunity to buy more. This is where investment research meets future expectations and anticipated actions. BabsO2: 2 Likes |
