Lots of Low IQ comments. Flooding is not peculiar to lagos alone. Lagos being a costal city, makes it more susceptible to flooding. These people write about lagos being a shithole, yet criticise the effort of the government when the time comes to solve the problem from the grassroot. Do your research, lots of cities around the world, and even in Nigeria are experiencing flooding, but lagos has a better media coverage. I think those comments mocking lagos are basically from trolls, nuisances, or unintelligent individuals.

I was supposed to meet a contact at Admiralty way, lekki, today but the heavy downpour made me to change my mind. I knew the roads would be terrible and then, the Lagos madness once it rains. I just did not have strength to navigate through "troubled waters" and the madness from some Danfo drivers.

For those that do not necessarily have to go out today, it's better to be at home than on the flooded streets of Lagos. Use your phone as much as possible

It's obvious you're poor mentally.

An intelligent Igbo man invests where he's sure of massive return on investments.

No let emotions block your brain.

If you have the opportunity to buy a property in Dubai vs your village, which will you go for first.

Let's assume you have the exact same amount in your account and you're ready to invest.

There are massive traffic jams on the approach roads to the Oworonshoki end of the Third Mainland Bridge. This is because the road that leads to that end of the bridge are flooded.

Motorists going from the Mainland to the Island through Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway, the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and the Third Mainland Bridge are stuck in massive traffic jams.

My Gbagada @MyGbagada

Shadia Estate by the canal (Sholuyi Gbagada )is totally flooded and most houses are submerged because the canal had been stagnant & it’s overflowing back into the road and houses.

Dear sir @tokunbo_wahab, please help us clear the canals to prevent loss of properties and lives.

They have built on canal ways and are now tagging Tokunbo Wahab. If you remember, there was a demolition exercise from Ogudu towards Odo Iyalaro by Maryland/Ojota channel..

The next set of demolitions will be crazy.

Compounded by people who build on canals and block drainage systems and then complain they are being discriminated against when their properties are pulled down.

Tokunbo Wahab is the Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment

Tokunbo Wahab @tokunbo_wahab

The Olopo Meji inward 3rd Mainland situation is a flash flood that is due to the high intensity of the rain, long duration rain coupled with high tidal lagoon level at the moment. Be rest assured it would go away in about 1-2hour. As the high tidal level of the lagoon goes down, the rain / storm water will be able to discharge into the lagoon.

Hustle, Respect, Loyalty @slybaba3

Tokunbo; What can be done to stop the flash flood.

Tokunbo Wahab @tokunbo_wahab

It’s like asking how can you stop rain from falling. It’s an Act of God. All you can do is to be careful when going out during the rain. NiMET has predicted a heavy rain this year. Thank you!
