There are massive traffic jams on the approach roads to the Oworonshoki end of the Third Mainland Bridge. This is because the road that leads to that end of the bridge are flooded.

Motorists going from the Mainland to the Island through Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway, the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and the Third Mainland Bridge are stuck in massive traffic jams.

UPDATE: THE ROAD IS NOW FREE

Tokunbo Wahab is the Lagos State Commissioner for the Environment.

EFAG = Emergency Flood Abatement Gang.

The EFAG team from the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources @LasgMOE were deployed to monitor/clear the flash flood at the Olopomeji section of Iyana Oworo. The road is now free from rain water. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
