Anything from 150v is okay? Also do you know the max pv voltage of a powmr 60a cc? Mjolnir: |

ti4c: Go call the people that charge motor/trailer battery to come do electrolyte level test on the battery using hydrometer. Maybe the electrolyte level is too low. They will advise you accordingly after the test Secondly, it seems your charge controller is PWM. if your solar panel is single 400w, you should get MPPT charge controller cos it is not recommended to PWM with panels above 250w. Cheers

I had assumed that my inverter got fried last night. It didn't. This morning I checked, the breaker between the inverter and the battery had tripped off. Please do yourself some good. One of the protections for your inverter and battery is to install a breaker between them. Same way as you install a breaker between the PV modules and the inverter and a breaker between the charge controller and the batteries. Don't skimp on protection. Protection is cheaper than replacing units. I seriously don't understand what happened in the night that caused this inverter to trip. Suffice it to say that there was a guest in the house at the time who might have done something that led to this. 7 Likes 1 Share |

JoeSef0: most normal mppt cc has voc of 150v, powmr has voc of 150v for 48v, but 115v or so @ 24v |

Why do you choose 12v panel for this beautiful Instllation chief? isangjohnson: |

Haykay2001:Let me cut the long story short. That was the available pv. I was planning to use 2 pcs of 580w Junko pv but the of trouble/stress of bringing them down to Uyo from either Abuja or Lagos was too much. As I'm typing this, I've 5 pcs of 580w Jinko pv in Abuja and I'm told to pay 30k each for the waybill. Again, I checked and saw 580w pv in fouani store website on the 12th of last month and I made payment for 5 pcs. The following day, I was called and told that the 580w was out of stock. There was no higher watt pv and my customer didn't want to go for a lower watt pv. I called for a refund and I was told to go my bank and apply for charge back. I went and applied and my bank later told me the money is already in the fouani store account that there's nothing the bank can do. I called fouani customer service and I was told to wait. They later called me that the money was refunded to my account on Monday this week. I checked my app and I didn't see it. I will still go back to my bank and print account statement. I will NEVER EVER buy anything from fouani store again. The stress of getting a refund is unbearable 9 Likes 1 Share |

This happened again today and the weather is really sunny I put on the inverter and it was around 27.6v Connected to the house and the solar charging went off but battery was still draining I turned off the PV breaker, the inverter then the battery Turned on the battery breaker, turned on the inverter it was 27.6v Turned on the PV breaker, it started charging When I put on the load in the house, the battery voltage ran up to about 28v plus then the solar charging line went off again I just tried again, turned off everything Put on the battery then inverter (27.1v) Connected the load (It ran up to 28.3v??) Then turned on the solar and its the same not charging but voltage is now down to 26.9v I turned on my fridge and the voltage is up to 27.4v but still no solar charging I'm lost now but the Voltage seems to be all over the place. gadgetplanetng: |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bbally: 3:21pm On Jul 03 |
gadgetplanetng: You might need to take the inverter to their service center. If you can remember, I had something like the your issue with my SMS inverter which I thought was acting funny due to partial/voltage leakage from my negative cable from the panel but apparently after I solved the cable issue, the inverter returned to same issue after some days so I ended taking it their office which they worked on. When it was opened, it was discovered that some varistors was burnt which they changed and mppt card program and it's been working fine since last week Thursday. Mppt issue was having 270v from panels but inverter seeing 25v. The pictures shows the interface before and after repair 1 Like

Mine is old (Easun) plus I'm not sure they have a service center here or is it something others can repair? I'm thinking of just using one spare Powmr 60A controller for the solar charging while I figure the solution. bbally: |

gadgetplanetng:If not service center, using external cc is the best option rather than someone random tempering with the panel |

swagifted: It is about Demand, HV inverters are industrial applications. its has not become mainstream like that. Once demand increase they will surely bring them, you can always ship it anyway. 1 Like |
