How rich, is he?😅😅

They want to extract some cash from him not necessary being arrested for beating his wife. That's how Nigeria operates.

Seun should be blamed

You friend is having Marital issue and you deliberately brought the case online.

Who does that
But Jarus and wife bought online themselves. Seun just offered an opinion.

Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (Lagos DSVA). This department reports directly to the ministry of Justice and assented by the governor. Are you saying the judiciary and executives arms of Lagos wants to extract cash from Jarus 😂

This will be an interesting case as Nigeria operates two different constitutions.
The penal code which is practiced in the north, which most Muslims regard as the authentic constitution gives a man the right to beat his wife.
While the criminal code which is for Southern Nigeria criminalizes wife-beating.

😆 🤣 cool

Is this our nairaland Jairus or another person. People that helped with wisdom and comments on Nairaland those days with good career advise to youths. Something must be wrong somewhere! It takes great discipline and courage to remain calm under provocation. LASG doesn't take likely domestic abuse in any form. I pity him. He may go to jail without an option of fine if convicted.
Re: Sir Jarus Arrested For Beating His Wife by Ironbull: 4:09pm On Jul 03
Sorry who is Sir Jarus? And who put "Sir" on his name? Pls I'm hearing this name for the first time who the hell is he?

Anytime I see bald head man like this ewu I know they must possess one type of character deficiency.

Your wife refused second wife then send her out and marry as many as you want than to disracing yourself these much and be register as domestic violent offender that stigma will ruin your life las las. Foolish man.

The crime happened in southern Nigeria, not in northern Nigeria. He has broken a law in Lagos state

Igbo men are the best when it comes to marriage.
There they go again with tribal nonsense! I know of so many Igbos that beat their wives regularly and are so irresponsible not even talking care of their children.

Seun could have stayed out of it. Him reacting online drawn people's attention. I have read the story twice in this forum. If they did not bring it here, there is no way I can know so as others

since she is from Ilorin, why is she against polygamy?

How many wives does her father have? Her brothers too...

Yes I hope u are ready to tell your daughter to accept polygamy as well

Better question. How rich exactly and why does it matter?

one man’s rich is another man’s regular. The important this is to not be so impressed by whatever money you think anyone has to the point of excusing literal violent abuse

This could've been better handled .

This union will suffer irreparably.

Jarus will have his reputation tarnished.

Nairaland and its team will be seen as immature

It is all a loss.
What's the business of nairaland on this issue? The Lagos State Govt is the one dragging Jarus ass

Just last week, an Ibo man killed his girlfriend out of jealousy, and it made FP. That poster is just a tribalist.

I am sure Jarus has more following on twitter than Seun. Jarus casted himself when he started shalaye-ing and giving us justification for assaulting his wife. Nothing to do with Seun.

I don't see how that affects his reputation, husband and wife dey fight.....if at all it does, it will be short term..but as you rightly said the union will suffer irreparably now that he has been arrested. Will he be jailed, i doubt..if at all, he may be fined...but you see that union between him and the lady in question..is gone, She's no longer his PEACE!

I do not encourage domestic violence...just as i do not encourage any woman to tempt into it.

She will be the ultimate loser in all this. The dude will be fined and come back unscathed. This will pave the way for the second wife to become the first wife. Three things were done wrongly by Jarus;

1. You do not beat people when in conflict, there are several ways you can achieve the same goals without laying a finger.
2. Yo do not post evidence of your misdeed on social media.
3. You never admit to anything or leave evidence behind that could be used against you in the future.

The wife is going to be the ultimate loser in this.

I don’t know what he had that has them so impressed.

Well now he’ll find out if the second wife really loves him or not. Let him mistakenly go to jail and let’s see if she’ll wait for him. Especially when he’s not able to give her money from jail. Then he’ll remember who stood by him when things were tough

They have sent people richer and more influential than Jarus to jail. Jarus is a small fish with Lagos DSVA.

Lobatan. He was warmed but he kept bragging as if it's normal to assault people even if that person wasn't your wife. He even said Seun was jealous of him.

Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (Lagos DSVA) nor dey look face and they come really hard on offenders. He should have gone to his home state of Kwara to beat his wife....

That's how he is about to hand himself a criminal record and damaged background check. International career mobility in the gutter.

Thank you.

Marrying a bad wife is not a reason for your lack of self-control. You do not lay hands on people except in situations where you have to defend yourself.

This is how downward spiral often start. We always know the signs once people start talking about juju in their marriage. Just for one woman, all this energy, loss of friendship with good friends that were there for you in your way up. There are many scandals or problem going up in life that you don't have to destroy your allies of old and have new friends.

Look at what he invested on his wife to lobby her for the second marriage, the same can be invested in a start up to lift another brilliant but disadvantage guy or lady out of poverty forever. Nobody is perfect, there's always the adamic nature there to get hold of us as men some of the time, but that's why we are men, to rein in some of the 'devils' within.

If you are a public figure, its always good to learn a little bit of self preservation etiquette and not allow ego defame you. Adding "wife beater" to your credential will not add any shine to your world. What about women who are involve with your brand? How many men have you beaten recently? How popular would you be after this?

I pray he comes out of this stronger and wiser.
an indication of narcissism there. Gifts and love are transactional to them.
