When I meant standard CBs, I meant our core starters. We all know in football the position that's hardly/never rotated are the CBs and Gk. So...

..If we need Gabriel to rest, Kiwior or Timber will fill in that place and there won't be much drop in quality. Kiwior deputized Saliba when the latter was injured and our defence was pretty calm(after Holding was dropped). Imagine how him and Saliba would be as Lcb and Rcb respectively. Timber on the other hand have played most matches as Lcb at Ajax and he won player of the season. These are two able deputies for Gabu.

For Saliba, White have played with Gabriel for a whole good season and their partnership wasn't bad at all. White plays Cb, Timber shifts to Rb(in your instance of Tomi injury). I mean all these are able deputies that can carry us through.

What we need is Odegaard deputy, Havertz deputy or superior, A good Dm(so that Rice can play his 8 ). Saka deputy (I don't know if they even have plans for this cos I'm not too comfortable seeing right footed player or Viera playing there). Gk if ramsdale is leaving

When I'm talking of strong squad depth, these are the areas I was looking at tbh not another defender.

William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori, Jakub Kiwior, Zinchenko.

Well, Except they're certain that one or both of kiwi and Zinny is going then I'll see the need of the transfer. While I'm even certain we won't even sell Kiwi is that we just bought him recently hence we still have that much hold on his contract so it won't be easy to lose him Except we are the ones that wants to sell him

And yes, tbh that's my worry tbh. It's not the one that when we buy him now, we'll either be cash strapped or be looking at Psr rules that might restrict us. Anyways, like you say, make we deh watch and look. Las las, make dem give us Major trophy this coming season. That's just my own

Hato, Murillo are other LCBs we've been considering. Arteta wants a solid backup to Gabriel. I think Kiwior will move back to Italy.
