The Niger Delta issue is systemic risk. It all affects everyone in the industry.
Seplat, Aiteo, Aradel, etc are all operating in the Niger Delta and making good profits. Oando will not be an exception. All it requires is sound management and cost efficiency

All who have previously declared force majeure and is why Nigeria has one of the highest cost of oil production in the world. Cause instead of using pipelines, we are trucking and barging crude oil. The ones enjoying are the ones with deep water oil fields as they don’t get disturbed as much. I wish I could share some of these O&G reports. We used to comfortably do over 2m barrels a day, now if we get 1-1.5m we are lucky

No, not what I mean.
I was reacting to the OP (bovali) who stated that the acquisition of ENI/NOAC by Oando has already been priced in (reflected) on NSE as at today.
I was telling her to wait and let's see when the profits from the acquisition starts reflecting in the financial results of Oando when the accounts for Q3 2023 andFY2024 are released. By that time, Oando's price would have increased significantly and it may be too late to buy at a bargain price and make a good margin.

I understand where you’re coming from completely. And I agree with you. But till that time, the q1 and q2 will at least give confirmation. But for this quarter, unless it enters my target zone then nothing. If oando breaks 16 Naira, and closes above it, the. 20 Naira is very possible in the short term like street investor said

Q1 is coming out in September, when will Q3 and full 24 come out? That’s my point, if I know they will release loss in the coming Q1, I might as well wait and trade the support and resistance zones again. It has nothing to do with future prospects, it’s money I’m trying to make.

I get your point. You want to maximize your returns in the shortest possible time, which is not bad.

But in my own case and humble opinion, Oando is a ''long-term'' project. So my focus is more on what I can squeeze from it in probably 2025 and beyond, God willing.

Myc please how do you see TRANSPOWER in the short to medium term? Shareholding structure not similar to GEREGU. There is the upcoming sale of IPPIS powerplants, and possible settlement of debt to gencos by FGN.
I'll check the shareholding structure and result again....
BUT I don't think you should plan your trades on it for short term, I no see anything for short term but for long term, it should deliver well....
TRANSPOWER is good for long term.....
Medium, any good thing may/can happen

Haha!!!

This world is just a merry go round. As we get older, more experienced and less impulsive; the younger ones are making new discoveries and getting all excited by it.

Full bid can turn to full offer in a matter of seconds.

Now I see why they got the court case adjourned to October.

No pls.
Courts do observe annual vacation.
This year's Federal High Courts vacation is between 23th July to 13th September. 2024
The long adjournment date was to allow Court resume. Other matters before the Court will also be factored in while fixing the next date.

Meanwhile. It is not today Oando have been sealing solid deals using cheap public funds and loans. But non of them have benefitted the ordinary shareholders except the ....

Why some people think this will be an exception is beyond me especially now that they have the political power! No doubt money can be made by traders but no value investors.

The models that I use have been accurate so far. When oando came up on the model, I did my DD. Debt aside, the only issue wrong with oando like I said previously is mismanagement. They gave FG loan, acquired AGIP for peanuts but nothing changed in their books aside FX gain. The market moves in both directions on momentum, I was just advising the short term traders that want to play the volatile swing we’ve seen in the last one year.
Dd advised

Haba! How impatient could you be with your assessment of Oando?
The latest financial results from Oando are for FY2023.
Both the FG loan and acquisition of AGIP were finalized and completed in Q2 2024!
How do you expect these events to reflect or change anything in their books (or accounts) for FY2023?
Financial statements for Q1-Q4 2024 have not been released, yet you are already saying nothing has changed? Sounds like jumping the gun.

Do you realize how that Oando transited from downstream to Upstream company using expensive commercial loans from banks?
Do you realize how capital intensive operations in the oil and gas upstream sector are?
Can you mention one company in recent history that has transited from downstream to upstream the way Oando has managed to do?
It is apparent that they faced some huge challenges which affected them and impacted negatively on profits, but it is also true that they seem to be making remarkable progress and on track to profitability going forward.

By the way, what do you imply br BE?
Break-even Price?
If it's break-even, then your break-even can be determined by your entry price...
Since you use Morgan, there's a column for Break-even cost/price.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Lexzokomo: 12:44pm On Jul 04

Simple answer: yes. And don’t worry, you’re not bothering me. All of us are constantly learning.

Imagine you have money to buy 10 chocolates. Your friend offers to lend you enough money to buy up to 100 chocolates. This means you have high leverage.

High Leverage:

• You can borrow a lot of money to trade more chocolates.

Smaller Lots:

• Even though you have the option to buy up to 100 chocolates (because of high leverage), you can choose to trade smaller lots, like 10 or 20 chocolates.

So, you have a choice:

• You can use the high leverage to buy a large number of chocolates, like 100.
• Or, you can decide to buy smaller amounts, like 10 or 20 chocolates, even though you have the ability to buy more.

This means you are using the high leverage to have the option to trade big, but you are choosing to trade smaller amounts.

In summary:

• High leverage gives you the power to trade large amounts.
• You can still decide to trade smaller lots, even with high leverage.

Side note: if you’re referring to forex trading, that why they give you the option to set your leverage ratio. Default is usually 500:1. If you’re referring to structured leverage (investment banking), you can apply for let’s say 20m leverage and get it approved but you only get charged for what you drawdown(actually use).
Gracias 🙏 I really appreciate
