TheGoodJoe:You and rigmaroling 1. Possession football predates tikitaka therefore the philosophy of possession is not tikitaka but the philosophy of tikitaka is possession. Infact we could say all tikitaka and it's variants is Total Football using your logic. 2. Claims that "at one point In a game everybody plays tikitaka" is a fallacy because it will mean mere short passes and movement and positional play began with tikitaka. Tikitaka as exemplified by Barca and Spain the 2000s is a patient structured triangular passing for buildup until an opening is seen. Other possession based approach like Gengen, SariBall, Wenger and Pellegrini do not rise and fall on this. 2 Likes |

Odunayaw: You literally have not said anything but trying to regurgitate my stand. Give your explanation the difference between Tiki Taka and possession football. I am yet to see an explanation. |

Odunayaw:Person wey say all possession football is tiki taka is saying that I should explain the difference. So if you cannot see the difference between samba, gengen pressing and Tiki taka, I should now suffer myself and be explaining to you? Bro won't you consider me a mad man if I start explaining the difference between red maize and white maize? Isn't the difference obvious? Him say I should give him the tactical difference. I just laugh. |

typicalgamer: If our players are mainly journey men then what will you say of other African nation’s teams. Is it Mali, Senegal or Egypt that is loaded with world class players? Relative to other African nations, we have, on paper, one of the deeper talent pools of players to call on. 4 Likes |

typicalgamer: You are free to have your beliefs. I believe we have quality players but not utilized the right way. The biggest draw back was staying with negative playing style for too long. People have lost a true sense of our identity. With the right scouting, selection and system of play, I have no doubt that we can build a brilliant and respected team. |
