Lifewithhardey: An international student cannot get a study permit approved if the school is not a DLI school. However, they will need to be sure their program is eligible for PGWP. You mixed that up alot. Also, I was hoping to see how You can apply for a one-year permit and reapply for admission as you said in your write up. Guess what you meant was "you can apply for a 1 year program and reapply for admission. |

IS IT NORMAL TO GET SECOND MEDICAL ASSESSMENT BY IRCC? Hello everyone, My brother did an upfront medicals two weeks ago at IOM for his study permit application. Just today he got a mail that IRCC returned his medical result and that a second assessment is needed. This is quite uncommon… We sent mail to IOM, and after few hours they replied with the attached message ( that a syphilis test needs to be repeated) He is just scared Anyone had such issue before? 1 Share

Kenny4real68: There is no cause for alarm, it is possible that that particular requested test was not submitted before, but the med physician will not come and tell you that, so let him go and redo the test. He can also visit any good diagnostic laboratory to do the test to know his status before going back to IOM. In all, no skaking. 1 Like |

Yes, sometimes they can request for a redo of a particular test. Before he goes, let him do the test in a good lab to confirm, medical examination is important Kenny4real68: |
