I'd blame Rochas Okorocha the ex governor for this gully. His house is just a stone throw from the gully site. Dude has all the opportunities to transform IDEATO nation, but was too greedy to use quack local contractors.

People are becoming homeless. Those people whose homes were ravaged from the gully may not have the opportunity to build another house in their life time, because the price of building materials is too exorbitant.
