Yes i expect all bible believing christian to think the same when it come to those two individuals, especially Trump, i did not expect any Christians to make excuses for him.

I do not expect all black people to think the same but i do expect them to draw a line when it comes to racism.

You claimed that you will vote for Trump because of his stand on abortion and my question to you is this... if you are pregnant and during one of your check-ups your doctor found out that your pregnancy is a high risk one and a result he suggested that you terminate the pregnancy so as to save your life, what will you do?

I have been on Nairaland long enough to know not to engage in high level debate with you.

You asked a question. I provided an answer. I believe your question has been fully answered.

Any other long grammar is your opinion. But yes, it is perfectly legitimate for a BLACK person to vote Donald Trump or Nigel Farrage.

Reason: Blackness or ‘Christianness’ is not the only parameter for consideration.

A Bible-believing Christian can vote for Trump because the Bible says Love your Neighbour. And that person could be Trump’s neighbour.
You need to be more nuanced in these things.
Have a great day.

Good morning house
Please I kind of need an advice from y’all in the Uk
I’m a software developer (mobile app developer) in Nigeria with two years of experience and I currently earn about 500k.
I started making plans on coming to the Uk via study route and I’m currently in the stage of applying for my visa. I have been very optimistic about this but last night I spent a long time thinking about it as I’m really worried about the situation I read about the Uk and where they stand with immigration.

I have been following this thread for months to understand what it’s like over there and I really hope I get a response. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾

Why don’t you apply for jobs and get sponsored from Nigeria?. Your skill set could get you one that would sponsor(pay your relocation bills and all) while also having a soft landing here. Explore job the job route

Curious to know though. If you friend had failed the driving test, didnt he feel it could be an issue if the examiner noticed he drove out of the centre unaccompanied after failing his test, regardless of having an int'l license?

You have a point sha

It's not a little error bro. Its major! He drove to the driving test centre without a licence feeling funky haba. He could have called someone with full licence to sit beside him. Even with that, if he didn't add L plates, he would have been in trouble.

Anyway, tell you friend to get a nice oyster card or contactless bank card.

This is vawulence nah smiley

Oyster card for what exactly, if I may ask.

You are better off getting a job in the UK from Nigeria as a software developer. The immigration climate here is a bit shaky but not so bad for people with skills that are sought after, and I think spending bank on school fees to learn what you already know and then regretting that you left your decent job to work odd jobs just to get by before your big break could do numbers to your mental health. Reach out to software engineering guys on LinkedIn who moved here through work to guide you (you go know by their profile) and use part of that school fee money to boost your mastery of software development beyond mobile apps, especially with AI.

I think a lawyer is the logical way to go won't you say? Cos even if someone here gives you a lawyers' advice here, you'd still need to engages the services of a lawyer cos your friend can most probably not represent himself or herself

Yea. It's just he has two options. Plead guilty or not guilty.

We are thinking If he plead guilty and explain himself probably there will be no need for a Lawyer. But If he plead not guilty, he has to convince the court which is where a lawyer comes in. And when we tried to talk to a Lawyer, the fees could only be described by our own Hon Patrick Obiahagbon.

Ok, thing is, I've heard people say to avoid Nigerians or some Africans as they can put one in trouble

But you are here, asking us questions.
Your friends will depend on you. If you are a scammer you ll attract scammer friends.

I think you are overpreparing for the social side of your life here. I would rather you overprepare for the professional side of your life. Do you know all the guidelines for your work? No? Shall we start on that, perhaps?.

As for Bedford, I would just Google it , follow their local newspapers on social media, join neighbourhood groups and you ll have more than enough information.

We had a rabblerouser on this thread called kumbhuru whose capacity for inane questions was unmatched. I wonder where he is?
