It is a shame that the Nigerian Navy continues to import all kinds of small boats from Europe. A big shame for a nation that has hundreds of thousands of jobless engineering graduates and numerous shipyards and dockyards wasting away across our long coastline.

Just look at the images below. Can't those ships be built in Nigeria? Why should Nigeria travel to OCEA in France to build a 40-45m boat. It is a shame that we are led by greedy and selfish leaders, who lack vision and do not care about the youths of the nation.

All over the world, in the US, UK, Asia, etc., their navy was the driving force for industrialization of the nation. Shipbuilding and maintenance cultivates and develops skilled engineers, technicians and artisans; alongside providing jobs for hundred thousands people in the US, Europe, Asia, etc.

But in Nigeria,, stupid and selfish Navy leaders travel across the Atlantic to buy an ordinary 40m boat that can be built at home. In the last 10yrs, the Nigerian Navy has bought over 30 boats in the 10-50m range, from abroad, except the SDBs. How can we develop and create jobs for our children? You see Navy leaders shamelessly in France to view boats that I can build if I have the facilities and support.

The Federal Government needs a "national procurement policy" that any ship less than 60m must be built and outfitted in the country, to enable industrialization. Any competency that is lacking must be acquired, and huge investments made in ship building and skills acquisition.

Just look at the pics of what Nigeria is importing. Those boats can be built in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Warri, etc. But stupid Navy leaders prefer to go abroad.

If you must go abroad, then buy a Frigate, a Destroyer or a Submarine,, not this nonsense that I can build. We are a stupid country. See what we are importing.

Brother you make sense die, but common sense is a crime in Nigeria. The money that would have boost our economy has been wasted. Building a boat is the easiest compared to Building a plane. The technology is not so difficult. But we have military officers who are not patriotic otherwise they would see sense in your argument.

Nah it's not blind leadership it's the thing that makes us have blind leadership

Answer this... If tinubu was ruling Yorubas alone and Yorubas alone were affected by his policy they allow him continue? Or would their be protests all things being equal?

Nigeria is not a nation , we are a country ran like a nation it would never work

That a look at Ethiopia every region has it own army.. Yes army ooh not police army

What you are seeing in Navy is yes generation of promoting incompetent people based on tribalism to train people then pick incompetent ones trained by incompetent ones again... Do this for 50 years and boom you have Nigeria

We are seeing first hand the consequences of nepotism
