Missing Hyena Captured, Returned To Plateau Wildlife Park by ObaKlaz: 3:50pm On Jul 09
The Management of Plateau State Tourism Corporation has stated that after relentless search and rescue efforts, the missing hyena from the Jos Wildlife Park has finally been found, tranquilised, captured and safely returned to its enclosure at the Park.

A statement issued in Jos, the State capital, and signed by the General Manager of the Corporation, Chuwang Pwajok, on Tuesday, said: “We deeply appreciate the general public for remaining calm and cooperative. This has greatly assisted in the search and rescue of the animal.”

It will recalled that the Management of the Plateau State Tourism Corporation had declared that one of the Hyenas at the Jos Wildlife Park escaped, adding that the Hyena was being tracked by their dedicated team of game guards and Park Rangers with the assistance of drone technology.

It assured the public that the corporation was taking all necessary measures to locate the escaped animal and ensure its safe return to its enclosure soonest.

Wat is wrong with Nigerians..u take it to the park so that it can die and waste with flies feasting on it's dead body while not garnish it with pepper and push it down with a throphy..fools

The hyena is lucky it didn't go missing in some areas. By now we'd have been seeing it's pepper soup pictures on Nairaland.

Good they caught it.

Some few things to know about Hyenas:


1. They are not fast runners like most of the other 4 legged wild animals of their kind.

2. They have one of the strongest bite force in the wild which is able to crush bones of other animals while eating the flesh, that's why they can eat left over bones from the carcass of animals killed by lions and other wild animals...

Hyena wey plenti for plateau and parts of the north West? Dem for allow am go naw. In 24hrs, huntets can catch up to 5 hyenas alive to replace the one that escaped

I was born in Jos so I know the wildlife park very well. It’s a state asset.

Advice to Jos Wildlife park, next time have a tracking device around all animals necks. The people of low cost will have been living in fear for the past 24hours
