You don't need a PhD to petition for a green card through NIW. You can even use your bsc if you have at least 5 years of work experience.
Lol. Anybody can petition via NIW. But not anybody can get it. Without a PhD your chances are 0.0000000091%

Of course only an Igbo can do this. ABSOLUTELY?!!! 😂 LOL 😂😂😂😂😂

Chinua Achebe is infact the definition of BLUNT. His thoughts and expressions in writing are indeed BRUTALLY BLUNT.

When you read the words of truth below in his book, 'THERE WAS A COUNTRY', emphasis on the red highlight.

He wrote,
grin

I will be the first to concede that the Igbo as a group is not without its flaws. Its success can and did carry deadly penalties: the dangers of hubris, overweening pride, and thoughtlessness, which invite envy and hatred or, even worse, than can obsess the mind with material success and dispose it to all kinds of crude showiness. There is no doubt at all that there is a strand in contemporary Igbo behavior that can offend by its noisy exhibitionism and disregard for humility and quietness.”

That is how BLUNT Achebe was. Who could have said it better than an Igbo man by the name CHINUA ACHEBE.

Once again check out the red highlight. Lol 😂😂😂😂

Where's your source? I want to see the source that says 99.9 percent of all NIW holders are PhD holders. If I knew about it while in university I would have planned my career to be able to get it with just my bsc.

Google is your friend. Use it. At any rate, no BSC or MSc or even PhD obtained from Nigeria can give you Green Card via NIW if you are applying from NG. If in doubt show me one person who got it.

Lol I know Nigerians who got their NIW without a masters degree and their profiles werent even impressive. They got it with just their Bsc and their Bsc were from Nigerian universities. They however planned their career very well from their undergraduate years to optimize for that.

As for NIW from Nigeria, people are getting approved though not in large amounts but people still get it with their Nigerian qualifications regardless. Theres an NIW thread on nairaland here you can check.

I have faced tribalism from yorubas. I have also had and still have great friendships and support from Yoruba people.
Now to the question: do the yorubas hate Igbos? My answer is no. Individuals, particularly the poorly educated, unexposed and unfortunate ones, hate people from different race and tribes. Tribes don’t hate people. These unfortunate people are found in every tribe.

However, a lot of Igbos don’t care if you’re Yoruba, Hausa or any other tribe while majority of Yoruba people care if you’re Igbo. I’ve been blessed to encounter a lot of Yoruba who don’t care if you’re Igbo or not.

Please stop arguing with that pretender. I just read his comments and laughed. Bachelors degree in Law? Wtf is that? God has to come down and beg on your behalf before a US law school will admit a foreign bachelor graduate. Then someone is getting a green card for a degree category that US doesn’t even recognize lol.

The argument was it was impossible not if you are in Nigeria or not. I don't live in Nigeria so I can't relate. What I am saying is that you don't need a PhD to apply for niw. The only further degree needed is a masters and you can apply with your bsc if you have at least 5 years of work experience. That's what it says on the website.

Check the LinkedIn profile of the person who you quoted and stop talking nonsense. Law school is not bachelors and she’s not practicing law in America.

No you are very wrong, I am a very strong supporter of the igbos in Nigeria in terms of inclusion and equity, I rooted for obi during the elections mainly because I believe sincerely that it was the turn of the igbo,I am often at a loss at the animosity towards the ibos, until I discovered recently that they are the most tribalistic Nigerian, it even played out recently against very dark man who is not a yoruba, just because Paulo and obi cabana 90% of the people that wanted his head were ibos supporting their brothers, so tribalism is in the DNA of the ibos and they will be pointing accusing fingers to others.A quick advice do unto others as you want to be done by

Geez! The hatred is deep o! For all you know, the yoruba man (he supposedly helped ) may not have voted for Tinubu but the bigot in him instantly concluded and thereafter, labelled him "awalokan" , simply because he is yoruba.

I tire for you guys. Your institutionaliased bigotry is off the scale. We have no reason sharing same nationality

The OP is obviously a liar and a rabid bigot. I was here on Nairaland when they started their hate campaign against Yoruba folks.

Entirely false. You don't need a PhD to apply. It looks like PhD is necessary because the majority of applicants possess it, but it is not the sole criterion. A BSc/BA and five years work experience, preferably cognate is enough. A MSc only comes when the experience is not up to five years or isn't cognate enough.

Most of the Nigerian applicants from Nigeria DON'T have a PhD. Now, show us the source where 99% of successful applicants are PhD holders. As I stated, most applicants are PhD holders, but a PhD degree is not a sole requirement. It is an add-on.
