Feedback on this product… it works magic on oil paints but with water paints one needs to be careful else you will be doing some repainting work

I understand your fear couple with
1. High exchange rate
2. High Visa and IHS fee,
3. UK uncertain immigration terrain,
4. Possibility of getting a high paying job with sponsorship in UK.

With all the above said, your skill-set should be the foundation of your decision because it is the pointer to how well you will get a good job that can offer you sponsorship, this with the Grace and Help of God. It is your marketing/selling point.

I was in your shoe in 2022, had doubts, leaving my job (I work with a telecom firm then), leaving my business (I have a privately run business then though I still do it on part time now), selling my cars, converting my houses to full tenement apartment (One of them I build it as if I will be living there), how will I be able to get a good job here, resettling my family without issues.

I took the difficult decision and today I thank God I took the decision. Though we are not where we want to be yet but the path is already looking good and rewarding.
Below are my advise:
1. Study a course that tally with your Nigeria experience because that will be your selling point here.
2. You are it Tech (IT), I think you should have no issue here. I am also in tech too but not IT and I can tell you the sector has a lot of rewards and it gets better as you progresses.
3. If your wife is a qualify teacher or a Nurse/Doctor/Medical field/Engineering, this gives you a better hope. But if not, don't worry, have Faith and God will come through for you.
4. If you finally come to UK, try to graduate with a very good grade, It get why. I am a living witness.
5. Believe in yourself and know that failure is not an option.
6. Like some people suggested, you can also try Canada (though not sure but I use to hear that it's a bit easier there).

As a tech person that moved to the UK recently, I'll say it's not worth it. At least from my experience so far.

It's hard to get tech jobs here if you need sponsorship. And being on a student visa further limits you.

You should try Canada.

Just saw this article and thought I'd share because it's often taken for granted how "generous" the UK's immigration system is, in a lot of ways, compared to other countries.

One family in the article was not able to apply for permanent residency despite living and working in Australia for 8 years because their 2 year old son was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and was regarded as a financial burden to the country.
Another family has a daughter with Downs syndrome and was told that she had little chance of being granted a visa to Australia.

The UK in contrast requires little to no medical tests for any of its student, work or settlement visas.


Australia is one of few countries that routinely rejects immigrants’ visas on the basis of their medical needs - specifically if the cost of care exceeds A$86,000 ($57,000; £45,000) over a maximum of 10 years. New Zealand has a similar policy but Australia's is much stricter.

Republicans can not be pro life and pro gun at the same time, it makes no sense considering the fact that they claimed to care about human lives. Trump’s stand on abortion is as good as British weather.

Curious why the arbitrary target of 28 weeks?
Why not 35 weeks or why not 24 weeks (or even 22-23) when the foetus is able to survive outside the womb?

Are you moving to the UK? or it's a visit visa, if it's the first, you might get a BRP mail within a couple of days. That's if they still issue BRP. You can use that to know that the decision was positive.

Fully agree that Labour will try to clamp down even further on IR35 and any remaining tax loopholes/discounts of the creative nature.

Stamp duty for 1st time buyers is also going up from early next year as they've said they will not renew the current relief (from £300k - 425k)

But first time buyers do not pay stamp duty, do they?

First time buyers are exempt from SDLT for properties under a certain threshold, currently £425,000. They pay 5% on the portion between £425,001 and £625,000.

If the property costs more than £625,000, normal rates will apply.

If Labour do not renew the current relief, SDLT will be payable for first time buyers for properties over £300k.

My bad . The age of viability keeps getting younger and younger due to modern medicine. I support abortion up to the age of viability.

Be careful using this type of language publicly even if you're speaking metaphorically (which I hope you are).

Regardless of how you feel about them or their policies, they were legitimately elected, some with large majorities, and they have a mandate/right to express their views and those of their constituents without threat of violence, just as you have a right to peacefully disagree (and vice versa).
