Apologies about this blow.
It is not about cover letter. You can talk and explain unending on a cover letter but when there is no paper trail— not even minimum to back your claims, none of the cover letter would be upheld.
I also believe I told you before applying that this is what was going to happen…. But you started to say your ties included bar practicing dues etc…
I just don’t understand why we prefer to get the refusal first. Do not reapply. I emphatize with you.

Thank you ma! I think I had already applied before i got to know of this thread.

The reasons shared with you initially is why you can't throw your application again just yet. You have to demonstrate your situation has changed and not dwell on the sponsorship bit. There is a level of expectation the case officer wants to see from you an adult in your own financial standing, which is why you have been told to give it a break for now till things improve otherwise you'd be getting the same result should you reapply soon. Give it another 3 - 6 months.

All will be well.

Thank you ma! It is my first attempt.
1. The monthly salary is not constant, in fact at times I earn more than 400k per month. I get most of it in cash from clients. All these I explained in my cover letter which was not considered. - cash earnings are very difficult to prove and assess so it doesn't do much for your case
3. Although I am not married, but I have a fiance, my dad and my dad's properties which I am personally managing. I explained all these in my cover letter and even provided evidence. In fact I even provided my current practicing dues receipt to show that I am active in practice. - Again, these claims don't do much for your case. You can claim any man as your Fiance. Your Dad's property is not yours. Your practicing dues don't mean anything as you are not paying millions for that.
4. My sister was happy to sponsor my trip because of what she is currently going through( she needed me around as a mother figure for a short period just so she can have comfort after the recent death of our mum) I explained this also in my cover letter. - You are an adult and expected to have your own money and fund your own vacation. It works if your parent or spouse is your sponsor. Siblings and other people rarely work.
5. When do you think I should reapply? - Definitely not this year. Your earnings need to improve and also need to be documented. In this day and age, most people hardly pay for anything in cash so ask your clients to pay whatever is due to you to your account and start building your savings from the scratch.

They already have made a mistake if what they quoted is not your application. You should be able to get the visa on this technicality. You just need to make contact with the right office.

Based on my experience, I think it’s okay to go over and beyond in representing your case thoroughly in case of a review.

kemdup:

Your cover letter was too much , cover letter is not compulsory Document so if is more than two to 3 pages the ECO might not read it all is better to make it short and address the main issues! Cos they have others to attend to . So is it better to always go straight to the point ! Sorry about the refusal

No regular but it was TLS PHC (which is more expensive as standard)

Hi , please I need your contribution to this question below

Please when cos certificate has one month left to expire and then I submitted my application hope it's doesn't have to my visa being getting denied

Or is it immediately someone get the cos that you must applied for the visa or some one will be safe in as far as the cos didn't expire before you submit your visa application
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by abubakar123olat: 9:57pm On Jul 10
Where did you submit your application Lagos or Abuja

.quote author=somebody1 post=130877256]I received a refusal mail today. From the reasons given for the refusal, it suggests that my cover letter was not looked at nor considered at all. In the cover letter I explained in details all the funds in my account and how I arrived at the stated monthly salary. I am so devastated at the moment. Attached below is the refusal letter.

Good evening friends,

I am applying for Shengen visa (France). I have only filled out the basics online but I have not submitted my application. I need assistance on how to arrange my supporting documents.

I basically live in Nigeria and South Africa on one month intervals so I have a South Africa work permit valid for 3 years on my passport.

2 personal registered businesses (In Nigeria)

My bank account has a balance of about 30M Naira (purposely saved for this trip since January) I transferred this money from my business account into my personal account since January and have left it there. there are other inflows and outflows going on in my account but has always maintained a minimum balance of at least 30m Naira since January till date.

I have landed properties (one with CofO and the other have no C of O.

I am married and have children, family lives full time in Nigeria. But they are not going with me on the trip.

I have comprehensive health insurance in South Africa that covers when I am overseas.

Please, I need assistance on how to prepare my documents in a way that it makes good sense and gives low chances of refusal.
I will appreciate your responses.

Thank you.

I believe the rule is:
If your visa application is submitted before the COS document's expiration date, then your COS is regarded as valid.

You’re still within the 3-month timeframe.

I see no problem if you use it while it is still valid, that is, within 3 months of the COS issuance date..

Also, there will be no problem if you apply for the visa within 3 months before the start date of the job listed on the certificate,.

Please my first question is can I upload many documents as possible ?

Can I upload the supporting documents in any format e.g pdf, jpeg etc

And how much does uploading cost in the tls in case I want them to upload it for me

leef2022:

Go with your passport, photocopy of your passport data page and tls appointment confirmation. You dont need any other baggage, but make sure you must have self uploaded all supporting documents.
