I think some powerful forces in NFF didn't let Randy get his way with the list .... No way in hell Randy picked maclean , jumoke and that 3rd goalkeeper

You’re wrong, Maclean Chinonyerem is Randy’s 💯 choice!

Big lie ......in Randy's book maclean , Ariyo and zogg are on the same page ....just not good enough for him..... Did randy also picked Alani and that goalkeeper?

No problem you can go and remove her and put in your own player that’s fit to be there😂😂😂

I think Randy chose them. For Alani and the goalkeeper, I think after the last tussle they reached an agreement for him to invite 2 homebased players each roster.

Let's not all jump on Randy, its possible that you can only take from the reserve list, not sure how flexible the Olympics rules are, because there's a reason they required you to provide a reserve list, if not that would not exist in the first place.

Randy had initially invited Alani to a camp, alongside Abiodun, Imuran and Onyenezide about 2 yrs ago.
she couldnt make, due to an injury. He had always had an eye on her. As part of the alternates, he can see how she maps into the team during focused training sessions over the next 20+ days.
Ditto that for McLeans. He had previously walked away from Ihezuo, but she stepped up her game and is now back. Let's see how McLeans does.

Iffy’s selection makes perfect sense!
It’s all about VERSATILITY, and not a perfect fit.
Iffy can play on the wings (allowing Ajibade to play in the midfield), and can play in the midfield, not to mention her ability to play striker. She falls back to defend and understands the shape and setup of the team.
So, she is someone who maps well into the team.

Otu is too much of a one dimensional player - can only play as a central midfielder- either DM and very limited as an AM.

Also, you only get to pick from your list of initial alternates first.

Camp Update ‼️

As a result of injury to Halimatu Ayinde, Coach Randy Waldrum has moved forward Ifeoma Onumonu to the 18-player squad while Regina Otu has been invited as alternate player.

What excuse?
According to you, Otu should be ahead of Ucheibe and Abiodun and I asked you how many minutes has she played under Randy. Don't use the 'the coach doesn't trust her' excuse to exonerate Randy's incompetence.

You read to respond not to comprehend. There's literally a trail of thought that led to what you quoted so read again, this time slowly.

I didn't say Otu "should be ahead" like it's her birthright. I also can't remember me what you claimed to have asked. Maybe I missed it so quote it so I see.

The point is simple, Regina Otu had ample chance to stake a claim in the team. To claim Randy gave her few minutes is being disingenuous. She literally played loads of minutes during the Aisha Buhari cup and had as much opportunity as Uchiebe during the WAFCON. The difference is Christy made a case for her inclusion and she's been in the team ever since. Otu has also featured in numerous friendly games, to claim lack of minutes as excuse is just being dishonest.

And the "coach doesn't trust her" wasn't used just for her. You'll notice I used it first for Rinsola who is a fat better player than Otu is. They see what we don't see or a player just doesn't fit their strategy. It's the coach's decision and we respect it.

Randy incompetence? No point even responding to that.

The ample chance is what I'm even referring to. You need to cut that girl some slack. She came in and play but your coach decided to ignore her. How is it her fault that she couldn't nail a spot?

The Ucheibe you mentioned here, do you know how many months it takes for her to get a chance? That chance even came after Randy was pressured due to the stinker Rita dropped against RSA in that AFCON. Tomorrow, we will discuss Rinsola when there is a new winger in the squad and you will still make the same 'ample chance' comment.

The same way you wrote Macleans off with just the few minutes cameo in AWCON.

The only way to justify your stance is if Otu was given playing time and she performed badly. Finito.

The USWNT fans already worrying over Banda😂😂😂

A game I will never miss though, I really want to see how Emma Hayes keep Banda at Bay, but again Kundananji is there to hurt you too…

Prisca, Mupopo and Racheal Nuchala too, these players are very fast and physical they’re built different with their higher testosterone level.

The US better not think of Banda and Kundananji alone.!

With the few number of game Regina has played for Nigeria she hasn’t had any bad one, even when Randy was Commending Ucheibe for her performance for Benfica, he took a long while to give her a chance in the team..!

Again I believe he wanted to phase out Rita Chikwelu, Ngozi Okobi etc from the team gradually but it took alot of time.. Regina Otu isn’t a bad player, if at her 💯 she will give what Ucheibe offers and again she’s a good passer of the ball.

Regina Otu have also been getting call ups under Randy which sometimes she isn’t available for one reason all the other.! I wish she was among the 18players right now at least she would probably get some minutes coming in for Abiodun when tired out.

The Zambian defence is the problem.

The Zambian defence is the problem.

Wished they had the defense & Midfield to matchup with the kind of Attacking Threat they have..

In all US should carry the day considering the quality in their team all round but any slip from them Zambia can hurt them...

Na fans they talk, it’s bent to happened, they have seen how she plays and they feel she could hurt their team…

But I know too well that Emma Hayes will find a way out, at least they have Sam Coffey, Kobin Abert who are defensively strong in midfield.. Maybe we can borrow them Ucheibe and Abiodun at least.

Naomi Girma can also hold her own against any forward in the World.
