What's the thickness of the roofing sheet? - if it's less than 0.5mm, then i'll advice you go for Nigerite Litespan.

i.e my 1st choice would be a 0.55mm thick Aluminium roofing sheet, then a 0.5mm thick and then the Nigerite slate. (0.45mm is not advisable now because the thickness are not complete as it used to be before now)

Pros in the house,
Thank you for guidance so far. I'm doing a hidden roof and my Engineer suggested that to to save materials, it is not necessary to plaster the inner wall of the hidden roof since flat sheet is going to cover all the walls. I have added screenshot pictures below as references.

Please, is there any major benefits to plastering the inner roof wall?

Is this a fact ?my contact at Best Aluminium says atleast for them even their other competitors First Aluminum and Firtst Express don't have any problem with thickness. Metcoppo had design flaw coupled with poor currugators + handling that cause it break even before installing...

Other than that 0,45 very suitable guage for any roof not flat... I guess one who is buying roofing sheets should ensure they buy from reputable companies same way we rods...

With the headaches that I have had with leaky roofs, I’ll never advise anyone to use any aluminium less than 0.5 thick.

OK.. I get you now. (See attached pics)

Please plaster it - its important to:

* Hold the nail tight - because a plastered surface wld hold the flashing nail better than a non plastered wall
* make the surface smooth as a rough blockwall can puncture the sheet over time

the cost you're trying to save is so minimal to the advantage.

GOODLUCK
