It became a shocker to me when we graduated and the people who had lesser CGPA were able to secure a high paying employment before me. And not like these people had a connection of any kind. They just got the opportunity. And that was it.

I don't want to bore you with my employment tales so lemme skip things.

One of the ways I was able to overcome my primitive mentality was to understand that. As humans, we can't be good at everything. Some of you are doing yourself a lot of disservice by following the trend.

You see, it's not a bad thing to try your hands on different things. But if you dived into stuff because you are using someone else as a measuring stick without having the passion and the understanding of things,you will definitely get drowned.

You can not be successful at everything. That's the truth. And many people are busy doing what they can never be successful at. One of the reasons many people can never be successful.

Imagine if Ronaldo had chosen to pursue a career in dancing. Even if he was going to be great, he wouldn't have been this great as he is. How many dancers do you know from Portugal?
Also, if Messi had decided to be a musician. He would never be this great. How many musicians do you know from Argentina?

What if Chris Brown had decided to be a footballer. How many world class footballer do we have from US of A?

So the first step to breaking the yoke of poverty is to first of all acknowledge your weakness. Don't deceive yourself.
Imagine someone who is very gifted with calculations but because music is a very lucrative career. He abandons his own strength and goes for somebody else's strength. That's why some musicians struggle.
I'm not saying you can't be good at music and also be good with maths. I'm referring to those who are good with maths but not at music.

The second way out is to know what you are supposed to do.
In understanding your weakness and acknowledging it is where illumination will come upon what you are supposed to do.

Many people are struggling today because they are confused. They don't know what to do, so , they just keep on doing anything that is doing them.
For some people, your neighbour is the person that will link you up with that job that will change your story. But you don't know, and you've not been greeting your neighbor for the past 6months. How na?

Very oftenly, we are the orchestrator of our own problems, daily undoing our ownself.

Persistence, long-suffering and determination are only useful when you are doing the right thing that will make you successful.
Imagine if Usain Bolt was learning how to dance and is being persistent and determined about it? Though he might become successful, but he would never be a legend that he is this day. Or if Michael Jordan was being persistent about being a rapper. He would never be a rap GOAT the way he is with basketball.

Therefore, you can be travelling the wrong direction with so much persistence and determination and still not be able to show anything for it at the end of the day.

Some people are doing so little, yet they have plenty of results simply because they are doing what they are supposed to do. It is not jazz or anything. Whereas some people are doing so much and they do not have anything to show for it because they are doin what they will never succeed at.

The first way to shake off brokeness is when you start getting angry with brokeness and with yourself for being broke, when you start feeling uncomfortable. Because once you start seeing being broke as something that is not your fault or as a normal thing. You can never get yourself out of being broke.
Brokeness is very very persuasive, highly prevalent and vehemently persistent.

If a man knew that if he didnt get his shit together, no woman will marry him or bear him a child , he would have no other choice but to sit up and do everything legal to make money.
