Mumu, is it only civil servants that would be benefiting from government? Must everything revolve around civil servants. We in the private sector are Nigerians too. We contribute in many ways to boost the economy. |

BuharisBoy: So govt should use 80% of its revenue to pay govt workers who constitute less than 10% of the population? What happens to the remaining 90% who are not govt workers and who are self employed? U think only empowering d tiny percentage of govt workers is what would spur consumption and economic growth? Whats d productivity of govt workers anyway? Hope u know we can do without a large number of them? 1 Like |

Answer his question on why a foolish governor will be owing Abia workers 7 month salary n only willing to paying 18K when you is people are demanding for 250K using his labour NLC . Are you not the one using the cocaine when your foolish head can not reason that he is saving your fathers n mothers who Alex Otti is ruining thier wretched lives by not paying their 18K owing several months arrear, this in addition to no hope of any increment whatsoever in the future. Since you have chosen a name synonymous with foolishness, idiocy and moronic brain cells, you should also ask buhari why he left a dead country riddled with thieves and looters terrorists and bandits. The old fool could not even control his wife who fed fat like a hippopotamus on drugs in Dubai. Having sex underground with young almajiri boys. The asshole ran all the jets begging for money all over while his cows stole and printed currency with his so called forged signature. Bastard cow kissing old man 1 Like |

BuharisBoy: If show much money are in workers hand and SME doesn't have or produce goods to buy with that money, it will lead to another inflation. The goods to buy first must be available before money more is put into labours hand. |
Re: Why Not Pay Workers A Living Wage Rather Than Funding SMEs? by SmallmebigGod: 8:16am On Jul 13 |
The problem is lack of data and structure. Funding SME is the best ideally. But my guess is that the money being shared presently are going to the hands of politicians or people that have political affliations favorable to the sharer. Also , some civil servants are also SME so eventually the model would have been the best if done sincerely. |

How many percentage of our population are working for government. A lot are self employed which fall into SME’s, if truly they are going impact small businesses, it’s a good idea |

Re: Why Not Pay Workers A Living Wage Rather Than Funding SMEs? by Naughtyyking(m): 8:40am On Jul 13 |
If this is true, then theres no difference in the government, according to otti in his campain which b4 i went back to abuja he said he will increase salaries that the state has enough money, and he also said salaries wil be paid by 25th and 28th of each month, and now i stil read hes owing 11 months salary arrears tor this is from fry pan to fire |

A nincompoop just dropped an opinion. The same civil servants who will refuse to provide a service to you without greasing their palms? Go to any ministry, department or agency to verify since you are playing daft. These people are so useless that sacking 90% of them wont see any reduction in output. People who resume by 10am, pray for 1 hour, then start gossiping and eating groundnuts, while asking for bribes and pretending to work till 2pm when they close? Its like you want thunder to fire you this morning for making such as asinine suggestion. 1 Like |
Re: Why Not Pay Workers A Living Wage Rather Than Funding SMEs? by mayowade50: 8:54am On Jul 13 |
BuharisBoy: The first question you should ask yourself is, what percentage of the population is employed by the Government ? It is less than 20% of our population. So how can we channel all our funds to just government workers! SMES are the drivers of an economy, and they need to be empowered through funding or low interest loans - They are employers too , and they pay tax. Funny enough many of this ministries don't generate income. |
Re: Why Not Pay Workers A Living Wage Rather Than Funding SMEs? by Dbegining: 9:00am On Jul 13 |
This one is foolish talk sha. Minimum wage is in the hands of the federal government. Abia state is just trying it's best to do what it can do for it's citizens. And wait, didn't Lagos spend 25billion on MSME'S? |
Re: Why Not Pay Workers A Living Wage Rather Than Funding SMEs? by PAQ(m): 9:00am On Jul 13 |
Growing the SME is good, but if the buying power of workers is where they are then how will these small businesses thrive? |
