Wisejohnson47:That building looked like a building with lots of sand than concrete in the mixture. You can see it from the wall part of those still standing that tore apart. Standards are neglected for quick gains. Now lives of future leaders are gone. What a pity! 1 Like

Atiku should shut his useless mouth....the rot in the nation started from him and the old stupid Obasanjo.....then after he ocaastrated that one, he joined a group of northern and western criminals to hijack the government from a wick president and implanted a very calous and careless buhari, whom had one of the outstanding records of the most mediocre heads of state in the history of democracy arround the entire world. Now you can see that because of one man's greed, it has lead to a whole lot of destruction to the nation he claims to love.....atiku should shut his mouth up. |

School buildings should be one of the strongest buildings in Nigeria but the reverse is mostly the case. |

Atuero: GBAM!!!!! You have hit the nail on the head. Nigerians want to eat their cake and still have it. Nigerians give building and construction contracts to family and friends instead of qualified people and still expect those buildings to be of standard integrity. I have bachelors and masters degrees in Engineering with COREN registration but people who didn't even study anything engineering will be getting building contracts. What I see in the construction industry is appalling My sympathies to the affected families. 1 Like |

vonnelixir: It's not compulsory u build if u dont money. U should build what u can afford. Mind you, the building is not a new building, it was built when cement was cheap |

Re: Jos School Collapse: Govt Must Prioritise Building Approval, Supervision – Atiku by anonimi: 2:15pm On Jul 13 |
Praxis758: I believe that it also has to do with pay disparity between civil servants and politicians. Did we have as much widespread corruption in our country in the period before the 1990s? Does Biden earn more than a professor, compared to Tinubu and a professor at a university here? 1 Like |
Re: Jos School Collapse: Govt Must Prioritise Building Approval, Supervision – Atiku by Praxis758: 2:35pm On Jul 13 |
anonimi: Payment disparity has nothing to do with stealing, it is endemic in the system we adopt. Are you saying the civil servants in NNPC, CBN, NOA, NIMASA, EFCC, DMO etc are not earning above politicians? |

Project owners should have sense. Majority of non-corporate project owners are stupid and will choose cheap over quality almost every time. I pity people who buy from developers without getting the building quality checked by a professional. BeeBeeOoh: |
