A devastating incident has sparked outrage and calls for justice, as a 43-year-old Nigerian citizen, Prince Ebuka, was allegedly shot and killed by South African police in Danielskuil, Northern Cape.

According to reports, Prince Ebuka was extrajudicially killed by the police, with eyewitnesses claiming that he was unarmed and posed no threat to the officers.

The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear, but sources close to the family revealed that Prince Ebuka was a law-abiding citizen who had no criminal record.

The Nigerian Diaspora Forum (NDF) has condemned the killing, describing it as a ‘senseless and avoidable tragedy.’

In a statement, Hon. Chike Amadichi, Country Director of NDF, urged the South African authorities to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into the incident.

He said, “The Nigerian Diaspora Forum (NDF) expresses its deep concern over the recent tragic event in Danielskuil, Northern Cape, South Africa on 17th May 2024.

“We urge the public to stay informed as we closely follow developments and cooperate with the authorities to ensure a thorough and transparent investigation.

“Our commitment remains strong towards advocating for justice and upholding human rights for all Nigerians living in the diaspora.”

This incident has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of Nigerians living in South Africa, many of whom have faced xenophobic attacks and harassment in recent years.

The group also urged the federal government to take decisive action to protect its citizens abroad.

As the investigation continues, the Nigerian community in South Africa and beyond is mourning the loss of Prince Ebuka, a husband, father, and friend who was brutally taken away from his loved ones.

His family and friends are demanding answers and justice, and the world is watching to see how the South African authorities will respond to this tragic incident.

If Nigeria had a President with integrity other countries will hold Nigerians in high regard.
Nigerians have become the target of xenophobic attacks since Tinubu became president.
You dare not mistreat an American citizen in another country even if he's a terrorist, drug dealer or trafficker.

Following Tinubu's rise to the presidency, the severity of attacks on Nigerians intensified, not only in South Africa but also in small countries like Benin republic where thousands of Nigerians mostly from South west were attacked.
If failure wasn't so entrenched in Tinubu, wouldn't it be his responsibility to protect Nigerian citizens?

People will address and regard you the way they perceive your leadership.
Any serious observer will see what I’ve seen. African countries don't take Nigeria seriously anymore

Tinubu has never sold drugs in SA
Tinubu has never kidnapped and trafficked people in SA
Tinubu has never scammed people in SA
Tinubu has never attacked the police in SA
Tinubu has never raped in SA

So I doubt Tinubu is the reason why we have issues with your presence in our country grin

The killing of Nigerians by SA police goes way back. Nothing to do with the present administration.

The same way your Mzansi self ran from Nigeria during Aparthied abi?

LMFAO. The less than 50 SA who came to Nigeria during that time were model guests who didn't cause problems for their host nation. Their were grateful and humble which is the opposite of the thousands of scavengers you are bringing here who kidnap, drug, rape, rob and scam their host community. You can't live in peace with any host nation, you always have a demonic urge to cause chaos and destruction. This is why you have trouble getting visas easily and are getting banned from different nations. Fix yourselves before leaving your country and stop playing victim .

I don't really about these foIks who get kiIIed or maItreated in foreign countries, their type are the ones on Nairaland who are quick to say "I'm not in Nigeria" just to prove that they are successful or have made it big or they don't have a probIem anymore because they are not in Nigeria.
They are the ones who will be quick to tell you "travel out and stop celebrating mediocrity in Nigeria".
They can kiII a thousand of them and I really won't be moved because I haven't seen a crop of people who will travel out and start abûsiñg their country and when things go south, they expect same country they have been abûsiñg to come to their aid, they expect same citizens they have been mocking to speak on their behalf.

Xeñóphobîc àttàcks has not happened since Tinubu became president.
Statements like yours are majorly the reason why people in other countries don't hoId u in high regards, nobody holds someone who àbûses his family on the streets in high regards even if the family is bàd.
You can't have Nigerians coming to social media to insuIt Nigeria where those foreigners will see it and u expect them to respect u, they will appreciate u for throwing ur country under the bus because it helps them get the social media win, but they people who supported them are the ones who will feel the disrespect they buiIt for their country.
South Africans wóñ't kiII a Moroccan like that because they don't see Moroccans behaving like that on social media.
