What is he doing in his state to reduce hunger? Problem of hunger is more of state problem than the FG, if the governor's allow the LG to function optimally, the problem of rural development, insecurity and agricultural output wouldn't have poor like this.
The governors converted the local government money to national cake and they kill administration at local level. It was not like this between 1999- 2003, atleast the chairmen were doing rural roads, supporting agriculture at local level, doing drainage, manage vigilante and traditional issue and recruiting staff of level one to six.
Since the commencement of so called state joint account, no any local government was able to do all those programs and they made rural area become the place where there is no head.
The governors are not happy and they are not in support of the laudable supreme court pronouncement, either distraction or not, we are waiting. The governors should reduce hunger in their various states through financing agricultural friendly program for the youth, they should stop blaming FG.

No Sir. When we talk about the governors who are specialists in strangulating Local Government, Seyi Makinde is the first on the list. For the past five years, nothing is happening in Oyo State Local Governments. In fact, Seyi Makinde is the one paying the Local Governments staff salaries as all their funds from the Federal Government go to him.
The only staff you will meet in the Local Governments Secretariats are gatekeepers and high ranking directors.
Any capital projects executed in Oyo State were handled by the Governor's personal firms. Though, nobody can take away the glory of prompt payment of workers' salaries from him, one of the reasons he won overwhelmingly in the last general election.

An individual ask about Moniya - ijaiye - iseyin road is very funny the road was built by Makinde but is it up to standard? No erosion control, close to building for that kind of joint road, and you don't ask me if there is paracetamol at Moniya General hospital.

You Don ask me about the maternity ward at MGH where there is no bed and you give birth with touchight and on iron bed without matress.

This comment lacks critical thinking in my opinion. The LGAs are closest to the people and must be part of any solutions to alleviate the suffering in the land. The SC judgement gives them the financial ability to intervene and make a difference in addition to efforts from the FG and states.

Many governors will rather sit down and point fingers at anyone but themselves than do anything.

It was a huge shock to the Nigeria governors in hearing the judgement of the LG Autonomy restricting them from looting the funds meant for the LG. I only congratulates the LG workers for the great judgement favouring them

The SC judgement is a BIG win for the people. It is definitely not a distraction. It gives some power to people at the grassroots to elect people they know will seeve the people.

There is hunger in the land...YES. What have you as a governor of a state like Oyo done to ameliorate the situation. Oyo is blessed with huge swathes of arable land that can grow virtually every staple food crop. How much has your government invested in agriculture? Always pointing fingers at the FG.

Now wey dem don comot feeding bottle for their mouth, dem dey mount soap box dey cap trash. Before you point fingers, show your workings in Oyo State.

Your state has forests how come you didn't invest in agriculture so that even if there is hunger in the Nation, it will not affect your people? FG will not take the blame alone.
