As for the black demographic, I do feel some sense of empathy for them. They have a relationship with the Dem party that is similar to the link shared between the black SAs and the ANC. It's loyalty for the team that historically came through for them. I think it's overdone and is past its sell-by date. But it's somewhat understandable,

The unfortunate part is I don't know if they are capable of introspection. And figuring out when it is time to change tact and make both parties actually earn their votes; rather than one side expecting it as a given. I believe they should have started playing that card.
