I do not know why people believe all Nigerians are dumb and stupid! I read now that Dangote claims his refinery is worth 19 billion dollars, well I insist that it is not true! Dangote refinery has a capacity to refine 650,000 barrels per day..............a similar refinery of 600,000 barrels capacity being constructed by the UAE government in Fujairah emirate is scheduled to cost only 3.3 billion dollars when the refinery is fully completed in 2025! so whatever NNPC invested in Dangote refinery is definitely worth more than 7 % plus that dangote is claiming! If these fulani looters do not bring this country to bankruptcy ...nothing else can!

Dangote refinery is more like a petrochemical complex. There are more products than diesel and gasoline to be produced there.
It is already exporting fertilizer.

Most Nigerians are hardened greedy and arrogant criminals. Dangotè is one example.

19 dollars will actually build 3 standard refineries with bigger capacity than the dangotè refinery.

ARE YOU PEOPLE NOT SURPRISED THAT DANGOTÈ IS CLAIMING TO BE BUYING CRUDE OIL FROM USA? YET THE BASTARD IS CRYING THAT SOME INTERNATIONAL CABALS (WEST THAT INCLUDES USA) ARE TRYING TO PULL HIS REFINERY DOWN.

HOW CAN YOU BE BUYING FUEL FROM USA WHEN NIGERIA IS THE 6TH LARGEST PRODUCER AND EXPORTER OF CRUDE OIL IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.

Dey play.
Have you seen a standard refinery that only refines petrol and diesel alone?

They also produce fertilizers? I didn't know that.
They produce polyethylene as well? I really didn't know that as well.

Is it the MAY, WILL, MIGHT, SHOULD, POSSIBLY BY... refinery you are talking about? If it is, please carry on.
A refinery commissioned over a year ago and still has no definite date for gasoline production is nothing more than a front.

UPDATE: To no ones surprise, the date of gasoline production has been shifted Forward to August again. And it is still "May." The way they are going, we will soon call them Mayflower refinery soon.

It's more than a refinery, it's also a petrochemical plant, it's also the largest fertilizer plant in Africa, it has the longest undersea pipeline in the world, it has a 450MW power plant.

@OP You know what they are doing..
I know a Government will still come that will probe the activities of NNPCL and query Dangote's dealings with Government Parastatals over the years.

Attimes I feel very bad seeing how people who don't have single drop of Oil in their region sit on and embezzle all the Oil wealth together with their croonies masquerading as businessmen.. go to Niger Delta where the Crude Oil is and see the level of land degradation from oil spillage and environmental pollution that noone is taking serious.

That may be the reason the current government has held back on paying for an additional 13% stake in the refinery.

With everything we now know about how Mr Emefiele's CBN, NNPC, and people at Aso Rock behaved then, the current government probably believes the valuation of the refinery was deliberately/fraudulently inflated.

Mr Tinubu is smart.

How hard is it to figure out that Dangote refinery is not just a refinery and can never be compared with a 3 billion dollar refinery in Dubai because it's a combination of so many things including a fertilizer plant, a petrochemical plant, a power plant and a gas plant and so on? Did you and the OP add all that up?

Dangote fertilizer plant alone costs almost the same amount as the refinery in Dubai so what figures are you talking about?

Lazy thinkers.

Itemize the cost centers for such a project including the petrochemical and ancilliary civil engineering construction such as the port, sand filling etc....you are the naive and intellectually challenged person here!

Every major industrial project comes with its own power plant most of the time................try again sir! The 3 billion dollar Fujairah refinery has its own power plant sir! Dangote is playing a game that may not favo him, when all is said and done!

It also comes with the largest fertilizer plant in Africa, the cost of the refinery in Dubai you are talking about is what Dangote spent on his fertilizer alone.

Are they also building the largest petrochemical plant in Africa in Dubai?

Are they also building the largest subsea pipeline infrastructure in the world, 1,100km

Are they also dredging 2,635 hectares of swampland in Dubai?

Is the cost of manpower, equipment, transportation, specification and associated costs the same in Dubai?

What Dangote spent on fertilization plant alone is what they spent on your meager refinery in Dubai.

Go and sit down because you are not making any sense

I laugh at some of you when I see comment like this. Your country Nigeria as been conducting TAM yearly on 3 refineries from 1999 to the tune of $1 billion yearly per refinery, this is now running into trillions.

Since 1999 till date none of those refinery is working and it cost Dubai just 3 billion to build a brand new refinery.

Have you ever wondered why do lunatics you elected as leaders from
.
Obasanjo
Yardua
Ebele
Buhari
Tinubu

Never considered building a brand new refinery that cost about $5 billion n will work instead of stealing / wasting $1 billion yearly on TAM ?!
