@nairabase… if I had 2 previous UK refusals like yourself I would do all in my power to change any thing that could bring me a refusal. If you have not acquired any significant travel history since the both refusals then I would do things the easier method and pay my self a salary and take it from there. There’s no need been in a rush and at the finish line, you end up crashing. That is never my modus operandi. |

@abubakar123olat you can do your biometrics in abuja, lagos or even ph or enugu TLS is the one who handles the biometrics- finger print and digital photo taking.. they then e-transport your documents to UKVI who assess the application and take the decision |

Any idea why some applications taking way longer than others despite submitting basically the same type of documents and applying for the same thing? My colleagues that had their biometrics after me have all gotten their visas but I'm yet to get mine. What could be responsible or is it just a chanced occurrence? giselle237: 1 Like |

abubakar123olat: No matter where the application is submitted, the gov.uk website says that straightforward applications will be processed within 15 business days. Anyway, because a lot of people are seeking visas during the summer, this can cause visa processing delays. Below are the UK visa application centers in Nigeria. - Abuja - Enugu - Lagos Ikeja - Lagos Victoria Island - Port Harcourt Enugu and Port Harcourt centers are both TLScontact premium locations; therefore, anyone using any of these locations is required to pay £250. Lagos, Victoria Island: This center is not free. Anyone using this location is required to pay the MUP fee. Note that It is not guaranteed that your application will be processed in Nigeria, even if it is submitted in Lagos or Abuja. Applications submitted in Nigeria may be processed in the UK or in Pretoria, SA. |

giselle237: Super! Thanks a lot for responding. So definitely keeping spending to the minimum, applying as a tourist, and gathering documentation to prove ties. That means, it makes sense to have my rental agreement, right? Yes, it’s a salaried job |

giselle237: Thanks for your feedback. I have actually been to Singapore, and Dubai for visit after my UK visa rejection. However, I am not sure they will consider these destinations as a solid travel history. I am re applying again for a UK visit visa because my brother is inviting me for his graduation in September. This is a once in a lifetime event, and it means me missing out if i start building a salary statement of account before applying again. I have a daughter in Nigeria but not married, and properties in my name to establish home ties. My major concern is knowing if an invoice for my clients can verify source of funds in my personal account. Thank you! |

abubakar123olat: Keep your letter to one or two pages, if possible. 7 pages seems excessive to me, and I don't think VO has the time to go through a letter that is 7 pages long for one application. I'm not an immigration expert or a visa agent; this is just my own personal view. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 8:30am On Jul 15 |
abubakar123olat: It's fine. You can't say for sure if it will be read or not. If you need 7 pages to tell your story, please go ahead. Good luck! |

onile1975: Please add a cover letter to explain why your daughter needs to travel with your wife. It's a 50/50 really. My colleague's husband was refused recently because he applied after his wife (who has a 2 year valid visa running). The reason? The wife didn't state that her husband will be travelling with her. It was very strange and annoying because she got her visa last year! I wonder if something else caused the refusal but that was the reason stated (I read the refusal letter). Essentially, you can't really predict what will happen but I think a cover letter will help. Pray for favour! Good luck! |

Did the wife travel alone and come back? My husband has a 2years valid visa last year he travelled and came back. I applied this year stating he had a valid visa put copies of the visa and i and my kids got the visa. There r so many factors to consider, they just put that as the reason. I saw on this thread a woman who did it same( applied 1st got it applied for her child )and she was denied. However if u hv a very valid reason and u can prove it. Pls go ahead. All the best [author=Cashmadam post=130965649] Please add a cover letter to explain why your daughter needs to travel with your wife. It's a 50/50 really.
