The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs is too sensitive and strategic considering the current economic realities in Nigeria.

Nigeria currently face an economic crisis only matched with that of famine inflicted country. There is a big humanitarian crisis in especially in the middle-belt with more people moving to IDPs in Benue , Taraba & Plateau .

Irrespective of the corruption that has marred the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, it needs a honest and incorruptible leader and visionary who has been tested with track record of competence. Betta Edu is just playing her cards the outcome of investigation hasn't been made public as such the optics are super-negative on her reputation.

Since Betta Edu is the Minister representing the good people of Cross River we suggest Prof. Ishaku Oloyede, the Former VC of UNILORIN & current registrar of[b] JAMB[/b] as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs whilst swapping portfolios in the cabinet with another Cross riverian.

Prof. Oloyede has consistently proven to be an incorruptible public officer through his excellent University Administration stint and integrity proven in JAMB.

The huge & humongous allocation to the Ministry needs a public officer with Administrative experience & unblemished records to send a right signal to the Civil Servants whilst ensuring that suffering and disaster prone Nigerians have a respite soon.

PBAT should consider him in his new cabinet reshuffle .

Just so you all know, as far as the Constitution of Nigeria, ministers do not enjoy immunity at all. Only the President, Vice-President, Governors, and deputy Governors have immunity. So, there is nothing stopping anyone from bringing charges against the woman for even the past crimes she committed before she was made a minister. If EFCC fails to go after her, citizens can do it themselves.
